"The raids, part of an ongoing operation dubbed Project Synergy, are being carried out by DEA, targeting designer synthetic drugs....Ali Reza Samanifar, 56, was arrested at his home, according to Shelby County sheriff's officials. He is charged with three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance....Local law enforcement officials, assisted by DEA agents, are going to convenience stores and head shops across the country where the drugs are sold......Authorities believe some of the owners of these stores send profits from the sale of these drugs back to their homes in Yemen, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, as well as other countries.
"We believe it's a matter of national security," he said.
We had some Yemenis take over a gas station right near me. They closed shop abouta year ago. Real jerks. Would come onto me (even tho I’m married with a ring) every time I went in. I finally stopped going there.
Those druge are sold online as well. Particularly out of the Pacific regions.
“Region”
Times have changed. About 15 years ago, The Netherlands pharmaceutical companies provided 90% of the worlds illegal pills sold around the world. The thing about the Dutch is that they are proud of their long history of pirating and contraband....
You mean that is against the rules? I didn’t get the memo apparently. Well that means all the good ones are took. I am much saddened.
Truth is I have been married almost all my life, least it seems that way, and if I ever knew how to flirt, I must have forgotten.
Think you might recommend a book on how to flirt without giving offense in this day and age?
Oh, no, that’s what I meant. It was the WAY they do it. Looking at me up and down like a piece of meat and being VERY aggressive in asking personal questions.
You are an infidel, and they are permitted to come on to you because you showed up uncovered and without an escort, IMHO.
What I’m saying is this. I know the difference between ‘flirting’ and down-right aggressive, lecherous behavior. They TOTALLY cross the line.
Whatever happened to Alabama? It is now a state full of meth labs, poverty and obesity. I used to go there on a regular basis but they have really seemed to go downhill over the past 10 years.
Thanks virgil283.
“Whatever happened to Alabama?”
Too many outsiders moved in, most likely.
Raids across Alabama and U.S. today target designer drugs, possible terrorist funds

1. Isn’t Alabama part of the US?
2. What in the world are designer drugs?
It’s sad what happened to the part of Alabama I know (Marshall County up on Sand Mountain). Driving through the towns of Boaz, Albertville, Guntersville along Highway 431, you are confronted with endless strips malls of payday loans, check cashing scam artists and fast food joints. Meth is a huge problem there and it’s not the glamorous “Breaking Bad” kind of meth either. So many wasted lives. It used to be a very nice place to be.
