I like Putin
Vanity

I like Putin. I think he is doing a good job. I like him much better than I like Obama. Funny, ain't it - an old anticommunist admiring the former head of the KGB?

Hitler and Stalin were right up your alley, then.

Well there's no doubt Putin has shown himself to be a brilliant strategist. He has taken the neophytes in the US and EU to school on what real power is (philosophical appeal and consistency, military and economic leverage).
On one level that's admirable.
But do not forget he is a murderous near-dictator.
Legally and duly elected by the Russian people...who offer 80% plus support for him.

I respect Putin, and I consider him much less dangerous to America than the thug in our White House. I guess that's close to what you are saying.
I like peach pie!

Not a Putin fan but he has a few qualities that I wish our own leader would have.
#1 on that list is love for their own country.
I don't want him here though.
A Putin clone as dedicated to a free America as much as Putin-original is dedicated to Russia, now that would make for an interesting thought experiment.

Don't be lured in by appearances and boldness. He may be bold, have a backbone and can get things done but that is what makes him even more of an enemy.
He's not out trying to win the superbowl, he's trying to resurrect an evil empire that was built on and fuel by the blood of otheres.

Putin is protecting his people, as he should. He fights effectively, which I respect. He faces Muslim insurgency, a destroyed country, a dwindling population of Russians. I bet he knows all about Barry, haha.

"Have you read his files (i.e. CIA, DIA, NSA)? NO? I have."
Only someone in the White House or Congress would have access to all three, unless they were heavily redacted summaries.

I can’t remember ever posting sober! One could argue that I was sober this morning, but my BA level probably was still over the limit. ;)

I like what Putin has done in the service of his country.
He just signed a bill, passed by the Russian duma, outlawing raunchy language in the public sector. What a Guy.
There is a lot of hearsay criticism of him and a lot of bigoted demonizing, but based on the facts, by what he says and does you have to admire the man as a man of character.
It is sad that so many on FR lack the ability to think subjectively. Being brainwashed by the MSM doesn't explain it all , they must have been programed much earlier to hate Russians, and don't know it.

moonlit = not I'm actually a bit disappointed. I thought that the moonlit thing was some sort of high poetic reference.
