Pretty much brands that company as one that hires ill-educated illiterates, does it not?

What do they produce? (And most probably produce badly, of course.)

Just checked their web site...the word “sustainability” is a great alarm.

Translation: Whatever they produce will be overpriced, unreliable, and a good percent of the profits will go to dim-bulb-crats idiots.

"...the company will not hire homeschool graduates..."

That's their loss.
These kids will become smart, hard-working employees for somebody - just not them.

If someone is quality home schooled, they won’t be applying for a “JOB” anyway. They will be doing the hiring for their own business.

Boy this guy didn't think this one all the way through. No self respecting flunkie that has been brainwashed by the Common Core is going to work for an evil energy company. Dontcha know that they are the cause of the climate change that is going to destroy mother earth?

A story that plays into where we are now bears recitation. I’m working from memory here and some of the details may not be precisely correct but the take away message has stuck with me all these years.
In August, 1977, a small church in Louisville, Nebraska – Faith Baptist – was raided by armed agents of the state Department of Education for running a Christian school. The ostensible reason for the raid was that they were NOT adhering to the state “requirement” that ALL schools and teachers be “certified” by the state. A judge issued an order that the school be closed. They remained open and the raid ensued. The teachers and 17 students children were terrorized as they were held at gunpoint on the floor. The pastor, one Everett Sileven, was arrested and held in jail for some time.
Public pressure forced his release and he began a crusade the effects of which are still felt today in the Christian and home school communities.
Here’s the take away message about which I have the clearest memory: Pastor Sileven appeared on a TV debate program to defend his church school. Also there was an official of the Nebraska Department of Education.
At one point, either the moderator or Pastor Siliven turned to the school bureaucrat and asked the real reason why the state had such a problem with their small church school?
Without missing a beat, through a sneer anyone who has visited the DMV will recognize, the bureaucrat declared (and I’m paraphrasing):
“Because you are denying the state schools needed money. And because you are educating children outside the public school system, in the world we’re designing for the future, THEY WON’T FIT IN!”
Dwell on those last 4 words for a moment.
If you’re curious about just what that world they were designing might look like, LOOK AROUND.
You’re living in it!!

Home-schoolers normally go on to college and grad school, don’t they? I haven’t seen any company where they even asked about where you studied before you went to college. They look at your undergraduate and graduate accomplishments.

Homeschoolers are uniquely qualified to be business owners themselves. Turnabout is fair play so they could show common core rubes the door when they come looking for work.

The HR departments would summarily reject the application and resume from the likes of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates because they lacked the proper credentials. My response would be: Good to find out early that such places would be miserable to work at.

I think for every 1 employer whose up-tight and statist HR department rejects applicants who are anything but orthodox, there will be 10 employers who are savvy enough to actually prefer applicants who went outside of the education establishment in order to thrive.

So it isn’t what you know, it is how you learned it that matters? It makes sense that a company pushing more expensive, less efficient energy solutions would not want someone who thinks for himself to work for them.

Independent thinkers, critical thinkers need not apply.

Future trend. But hey, I’d expect to see that if a person isn’t connected on Facebook to the Democrat party, they won’t be considered for a job either.

Its only a matter of time.

I’d rather hire homeschoolers than the public educated people. Homeschoolers are smarter. Then again, homeschoolers might run their own business, so company is like NiSource can go to Hell.

Their loss.

My kids avoided the schoolag archipelago, except for the last two years for one child.

Best thing we ever did for them. No regrets at all.
