If those two kids couldn't make it work, what hope is there for the rest of us???

It would be nice if we could say "see those "marriages" never work".

coming out in 1986, falling in love, and accepting the challenge of becoming Christendoms first openly gay priest uhhhh....no.
Christendom has never claimed any part of sin. Christendom doesn't brag about sin as this guy is.
what if someone came out and said "I am Christendom's biggest adulterer." How would that fly?

Funny how, all of a sudden, people who gained success by being public, want privacy when it suits them. Hey Gene, tough hooey, we, the public, now get to KNOW everything about your sodomistic relationship and why it failed. And it will surprise NO ONE that it failed.
You are a degenerate who played off publicity to get what you want. Now, perhaps, it's our turn.

His actions caused a major split within the Episcopal Church. So if he’s looking for sympathy, he won’t get mine.

Gene Robinson - adulter, fornicator, liar, now twice divorced... and a moral model of the Episcopal church.

He refers to his partner as his “husband”. I guess that means he’s the wife.

It will be interesting to see how all of the legal issues & community property are settled. Ah, all of the complications that come with marriage and divorce that are solved by just shacking up. (semi-sarcasm)

Of the 2% of the public who are “gay”, how many ever get married? How many of those marriages last “until death us do part?” How many of them are open marriages with swinging sex partners in the mix?
The whole institution of marriage is being turned on its head over a couple thousand people who want something other than “a civil union”.

All of us sincerely intend, when we take our wedding vows, to live up to the ideal of til death do us part.
That's not what you said to *me*,sweetie, when our eyes first met at the bath house.

“Recently, my partner and husband...”
So, Gene Robinson was the wife. But if he’s a man, how can he be a wife?
To: nickcarraway
...and accepting the challenge of becoming Christendoms first openly gay priest to be elected a Bishop in the historic succession of bishops stretching back to the apostles...Mr. Robinson here is showing a great amount of modesty. The priests of Baal have their beginnings thousands of years before the start of Christendom.

Having been recently transferred from Australia, the "bishop" is now free to cruise the bath houses of Boston without any sense of guilt.
