Reverend Al hates the Jews, that is clear
Watch out; race-baiting Jesse is near
A black racist is Spike
Fascists I do not like
And now Sterling takes it in the rear

STRAWBERRY PIZZA
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 c. pecan pieces
2 sticks butter (melt in oven or on stove. Do not microwave)
Mix together.
Lightly grease (or Pam) one 14 inch pizza pan. Hand pat in bottom (press in), leave lip up around sides. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Set aside, let it cool.
2nd layer:
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
Mix well. Spread over cold crust.
Top:
Slice strawberries in half. Arrange on top of second layer. Chill and enjoy.

Good morning, DFU!
Thank you for the great poem ... and oh so true.
Last night on Watters World, he was in Harlam asking about Sterling and racism. Most of the people in Harlam do not trust the NAACP. It was so good to see so many black people saying the NAACP is not doing anything for the average black man.
Hey .... Happy May 1st.

I eaten this many times but hate to admit than I have never made it.
I’m not sure about sugar-free. I would mix a small amt of cream cheese, cool whip and Splenda and chill to see if it sets up.
BTW ... it is wonderful. I got the recipe from a friend who always brought it to spring time gathering.
I’m thankful that strawberries are ripe; I may try it next week.
Have a Thankful Thursday.

Those beautiful Strawberries look sweet enough to compensate for the lack of sugar. Splenda might work too! :-)

If You Are Willing
May 1, 2014
Read: Matthew 8:1-4
Molly wanted her dads help, but she was afraid to ask. She knew that when he was working on his computer, he didnt want to be interrupted. He might get upset at me, she thought, so she didnt ask him.
We need not have such fears when we come to Jesus. In Matthew 8:1-4, we read about a leper who didnt hesitate to interrupt Jesus with his needs. His disease made him desperatehe had been ostracized from society and was in emotional distress. Jesus was busy with great multitudes, but the leper made his way through the crowd to talk with Jesus.
Matthews gospel says that the leper came and worshiped Him (v.2). He approached Jesus in worship, with trust in His power, and with humility, acknowledging that the choice to help belonged to Jesus. He said, Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean (v.2). In compassion, Jesus touched him (leprosy had made him untouchable by the standards of Jewish law), and he was cleansed immediately.
Like the leper, we dont need to hesitate to approach Jesus with our desire for His help. As we go to Him in humility and worship, we can trust that He will make the best choices for us.
What an example this leper is to me, Lord. Give me
a heart of worship, of confidence in Your power, and
of trust that when I bring my needs to You, Youll
make the best choice. May I surrender to Your will.
Let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy. Hebrews 4:16
Some biblical scholars say that of all the Gospel writers Matthew seems to have been the most concerned with presenting events in chronological order. If thats correct, then the context of the event in todays text is critical to our understanding. Directly prior to this encounter with a leper, Jesus presented His Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 57). In that timeless message, Christ detailed a challenging, lofty kingdom ethic of loving, caring, and serving. Now, confronted by this leper, Jesus lived out His own teaching by demonstrating love and compassion for one whose disease had absolutely marginalized him (8:1-4). Jesus not only taught these truths, He lovingly modeled them as well.

Good Morning Amy and everyone at Amy’s Place!
I’ve been absent for a while. Bad news and good news. My dog Bart developed aggressive bone cancer 5 weeks ago and we had to euthanize him a week ago. Good news, we adopted an 8 month old puppy (he’s huge) named Riley. He is very active and is keeping me extra busy.
I still check in at Amy’s everyday but haven’t posted lately.
Here are pictures of my little puppy.
