Trisha Tlapek said she objects to the ban more as a government infringement on her personal freedom rather than its effect on her daily life.

Talk like that will not be tolerated, Trisha. The government knows what is good for you.

Leftists still try to peddle the fiction that fascism is an ideology of the right.

And if you disagree with them, they will kick out your teeth and imprison your grandmother. Out of love. Only love.

For the energy it takes to recycle one paper bag, 84 plastic bags can be recycled instead. Paper bags also take up 7 times the landfill space as plastic. And once in a landfill, plastic bags lock up their carbon while paper bags return their carbon into the atmosphere in the form of greenhouse gases.

In short, liberals are idiots.

The taxpayer-paid, public servants seem to have a thing against plastic bags. As the kids might say, that’s “gay” AND “retarded”. I think it’s because of excessive use of “recreational” drugs.

They did this in Austin in March of 2013. I don’t see any infringement on my personal liberty. It is about 99% of a non-issue. We just make sure we have bags before we leave the car (we keep them in the trunk). I haven’t paid for a new bag in 8 months.
Personally I’d like to see a $250 fine for dropping cigarette butts on the ground. I get tired of seeing those disgusting things everywhere.

It was the enviro Nazis who said we had to switch from paper to plastic years ago.

Young people won't remember that so they buy these new lies.

I bought 1000 bags for $25 on Amazon. I use them for my dogs and shopping - no problem. I might be getting looks from the holier-than-thou at the super market. I am oblivious.

Plastic bags were banned in Santa Fe, NM but only the plastic bags under a certain thickness. The thicker, nicer plastic bags handed out by clothing stores and other such places are fine.

How crazy is that? The city council even allowed commentary by a 4th grader as to how she was in favor of the ban. *sigh*

“He couldn’t immediately think of how he would replace them.”

I’m going to buy several cases of them before they are banned.

Take them to the maerket and make the baggers fill them and then reuse them as we do now when we get home.

‘____ lining trash cans and picking up after dogs - - ‘

My local chain discount store sells all sorts of plastic bags for all sorts of uses.
Can’t just be using those free ones, ya know - - -

Oh - when I dispose mine, I do cut the handles. I have actually seen a seagull in town with a plastic bag caught somewhere - the beak? I was just a tad too far away to see, as he flew across an intersection.

Let's see... if you ban plastic bags, will the gun death from criminals drop 98%?

If not, you are worrying about the wrong thing.
