After analyzing the sanctions against our space industry, I suggest to the USA to bring their astronauts to the International Space Station using a trampoline, wrote Dmitry Rogozin, Russias deputy prime minister, in a Russian-language tweet highlighted by NBC News.
The jibe points to the fact that only the Russians can bring crews up to the space station right now. Rogozin also linked to a story in Russian RT where he is quoted as saying (if Google Translate is correct) that the Americans will see a boomerang of sanctions laid upon Russian officials.

I always hear space exploration should be privatized. Great, but how can you only do that with Russia, China and maybe more countries pouring money into their own programs. All signs of a fallen American. Can’t fight two wars at once or put a man in space.

At this point I’d have to say Space X has the best chance of getting our people back into space. NASA has lost too much ground, too much talent over the last five years to do it faster. If they’d contract with Space X and really get some juice into the system, we could tell Putin and the Russkies fine, if you want to play it that way, bugger off, we’re launching our own spacecraft.
