Nah, it’s not strange. Listening to the radio can be hit and miss, especially if we’re slightly “looking the other way” at the moment of broadcast. Having been a disc jockey and radio voice for twenty years, I know quite well how people hear and don’t hear stuff. You can always double-check it on the replay tomorrow. :-)

Hi, folks, just got to the forum, but I’ve been listening to the show. Rose Marie’s Durante impersonation was just fantastic!

Forgive me as I don't want to come off as if I'm telling you about bbq, but just for the well being of your Sunday night...you have a long way to go. You're either in the stall now or about to enter it. For example, if you were interested in pulling that meat you could have another 6-8 hours at that temp if left unfoiled.

For perspective, I put 5lb butts on about 8am and they’ll take about 1.5 hours/lb at 275f- and that’s with foiling.

If what I’ve been posting is correct...I’d turn the oven on 350 and get that cook over asap so you can get some sleep tonight.

Hey there. It's a good show so far.

Do you ever listen to Antioch or 20th Century? Ever heard of them?

Vision, we’re not doing this to pull the meat. We don’t do pulled very often. I do it occasionally in a crock pot.

The very cool thing about the Green Egg is we can quickly jack up the temperature to 350 or even 600, if we want to. It’s a very nice grill for controlling the temperature. I think Keith bumped it up some, since it’s still around 165.

The meat is stalling, it could be a long stall given its size.

I'm curious what your finishing temp will be.
