I have 6 yr old Shiba Inu - He still has every toy ever given him. He shakes the heck out of them and loves playing fetch - but never tears them apart and never touches any of m y things, including stuffed bears that are within his reach - even when home alone.

However, there's something about balls. AFter the second one I got him - tennis balls at the pet store - which he promptly tore into pieces, I decided no more balls. Luckily, he didn't swallow any pieces - is very smart about not swallowing ‘foreign objects’

However, BITING ‘foreign objects’ - like a porcupine - is a different story. I don't let him out after dark anymore. I don't trust that he wouldn't do it again. He's smart enough not to - but stubborn enough to do it anyway -
