Shafer Rupard is a student at Cherryville High School in North Carolina. On Saturday the high school held its prom at the Cherryville Golf & Country Club, and Ms. Rupard went with friends. They went inside and got on the dance floor. But the high school senior says that a teacher then approached her and asked her to leave. As WBTV 3 News reports, the reason the teacher gave is causing controversy.
Ms. Rupard had arrived to prom wearing red skinny jeans, and it appears thats what caught the teachers ire. She told WBTV, The teacher tapped me on the shoulder and said she had a problem with what I was wearing. I thought it was because of the hat or the leather jacket and I was like, Well, I'll take those off, and she was like no, It's the pants."

She looks kind of boyish no?
Maybe if she would have said she was a trans gender/lesbian it would have ended differently!
Never heard of them so I wiki’ed. That is 5 minutes of wasted time I will never recover.
Well, if there were a dress code for formal attire, she failed meeting the code for a boy or girl. I can’t really tell from this picture if she could pass for a boy or not. Someone up thread said there was no dress code, so the teacher should have grumpily ignored the teenager who stood out from the other scantily clad females in the room.
..by popular demand.
We apparently don't go to the same church ... I might object that the ladies at my church tend to be a bit too casual (If I really objected to such) ... but "baby doll nighties" (or anything else conspicuously immodest)? No ... Can't say that I have seen that. Maybe it's just a rural WV thing ...
Hillary wears nothing but pantsuits for the same reason that her Secret Service codename is `Flying Buttress’.
“...like the cutesie little baby doll nighties that women wear to church on Easter Sunday?”
Didn’t see those last Sunday but saw enough midthigh & bosom to say the Lewis Grizzard prayer of thanksgiving:
“O Lord, I thank Thee for granting unto me Thy humble servant, this heavenly vision of some of the beautiful things which Thou hast made!”
;^)
I can’t believe the outfits girls wear to proms. I can’t believe their parents let them out of the house looking like that.
I was having dinner last year, sitting on a restaurant patio, next door to a place where a prom was being held. I was shocked at how revealing the dresses were. The girls looked like they were 20 years old and the boys looked five years younger. LOL
“...Hillary Clinton always wears pants...”
And for good reason.
She should have said she was undergoing “gender reassignment” and they would have welcomed her.
I saw it on my Facebook news feed. Shorty short short dresses on 16 year old girls and on their 49ish year old mamas at church. I have seen this trend for several years. And it isn’t that these young ladies and their mamas do not look beautiful. They do. But maybe adding a few inches of fabric on the bottom would be a good idea.
It is funny because we enrolled our son in a private Christian school this year. The students wear uniforms. The girls wear skorts or dresses made by a uniform company. On days when they are allowed to go out of uniform, the girls can wear spandex like pants but not shorts. The boys cannot wear shorts. Our son cannot understand this at all. But his memorable years were spent in Arizona where you can wear just about anything to school. And to the prom. This Christian school has no prom. They have a formal dinner. I don’t think I saw any shorty short dresses in the photos from that event.
