In other news, there is a hummingbird egg hatch watch starting this weekend... will keep me occupied on Sunday without a race.

Weather looks good for the race on Saturday however Friday there’s a 60% chance of rain. I’m gonna fly my JJ flag so he’ll come in 2nd again.
I believe so! I had to post and run this morning, new car registration. Go to DMV and sit and wait. Oh well.
We have what I consider our first spring rainstorm this afternoon. I say first spring because of the way it smelled. That first one has that smell. The others before this have been winter storms, but this one had that spring smell.

Snow showers the last two days but low 70’s promised for next week. Mt Hood got a foot of powder and the skiers are ecstatic. My garden - not so much.

Won’t catch qualifying as we’re in the beginning phase of a massive interior house re-model. Part of the remodel will include changing over to oak floors from carpet. I wonder where that idea came from? Wife is staying home today to pack and prepare goods and rooms. Hope to be done with everything by August 1st.
Oh-oh, drivers locked in, no changes allowed. 80% chance of rain today in Richmond but tomorrow is still looking good for the race. Traeger salmon for race evening I think.
Schedule (TVracer.com and ESPN website) shows Nationwide on ESPNEWS channel which is not the usual, in case anyone is looking for it. Looks like NBA playoff games on ESPN and ESPN2.

Qualifying rained out; Larson on pole:
Rain at Richmond International Raceway forced the cancellation of Sprint Cup qualifying for the Toyota Owners 400. The starting lineup was set according to the NASCAR rulebook and based on first practice speeds. #42-Larson will start from the pole (his first career pole).
