No gold ring for someone who solves healthcare problems? Surely there’s some combination of actuary/lawyer/medical doctor/CONSERVATIVE! who can come up with an ethical, efficacious system!

The solutions is simple. Deregulate the health insurance business. Let insurance companies offer insurance policies of any type and let the market decide which policies are needed and which ones are not. My guess is most consumers would migrate to catastrophic insurance plans with high deductibles, very high lifetime limits if any limits at all and low premiums. Routine doctor visits would be cash only transactions.

The other key is to remove the requirement of hospitals to treat someone who doesn’t have insurance or can’t afford to pay cash. The freeloaders would soon learn they need to buy insurance or be at the mercy of county hospitals or charities.

These two changes would allow the market to optimally set pricing and would thus optimally allocate resources, including investment in cost reducing technology that would lower the cost of health care while maintaining quality.

the free market (capitalism). healthcare is no different than any other product or service that a private business or individual can produce for profit. government is not as involved in the Internet and electronics , smart phones so that is why there is more innovation and lowering costs in those industries. it is the massive government regulations and government involvement in healthcare that have driven up costs and deprived us of innovation that there could have been in healthcare systems if the gov had stayed out of the way as in the Internet and smart phones .

If you made $100,000 per year after taxes then you could buy anything you could ever need in the free market because someone would produce it for money( look at the millions of products for sale on Google , internet , ebay , amazon,Walmart, Dollar Tree etc etc). So we don’t need government for ANYTHING. A private company created a whole city DISNEY WORLD in Florida. So democrats create fake crisis like “global warming”,”no health insurance crisis” to justify the very existence of government and the continued growth of government(socialism)

government is the enemy and the problem. the news media and democrat party are also the enemy and the problem

Solving "the healthcare problem" is accepting the enemy's premise. 1) not conservative 2) we've already lost.

Injury, disease and death will be with us till Christ returns. How much each individual wants to spend addressing those evils ought to be the prerogative of individuals. The only other option is futile slavery. I can't add a day to my life by spending 100% of my resources. I can't add a day by stealing yours either. So live free and die free and thank God for His providence.
