We think of psychopaths as killers, alien, outside society. But, you could have one for a colleague, a friend or a spouse
...These people lack remorse and empathy and feel emotion only shallowly. In extreme cases, they might not care whether you live or die. These people are called psychopaths. Some of them are violent criminals, murderers. But by no means all.
Professor Robert Hare is a criminal psychologist, and the creator of the PCL-R, a psychological assessment used to determine whether someone is a psychopath. It stuns me, as much as it did when I started 40 years ago, that it is possible to have people who are so emotionally disconnected that they can function as if other people are objects to be manipulated and destroyed without any concern, he says.
Slowly we are learning to think of mental illnesses as illnesses, like kidney disease or liver failure, and personality disorders, such as autism, in a similar way. A high-scoring psychopath views the world in a very different way, Its like colour-blind people trying to understand the colour red, but in this case red is other peoples emotions.
At heart, Hares test is simple: a list of 20 criteria, each given a score of 0 (if it doesnt apply to the person), 1 (if it partially applies) or 2 (if it fully applies). The list includes: ...
A pure, prototypical psychopath would score 40. A score of 30 or more qualifies for a diagnosis of psychopathy. Hare says: A friend of mine, a psychiatrist, once said: Bob, when I meet someone who scores 35 or 36, I know these people really are different. The ones we consider to be alien are the ones at the upper end.

The best way is through a Weaver T-Series 24x 40mm Adjustable Objective 1/8 MOA Dot Reticle Rifle Scope.
Just go to the DNC(Democratic National Committee). Being a psychopath is a requirement for participation.
Don’t worry. I’m the one that should worry. I scored a 48.
This, ftw
You’re nuts if you go to a psychiatrist.
POW! Right on target!
When you feel uneasy around someone, it’s because they are a psychopath.
There was an article in the Herald this morning about Internet trolls which closely relates to this. Since my attempts to post things from the Herald here bring nothing but grief, I won’t. But the author is Eric Adler of the Kansas City Star.
He used terms like “Dark Tetrad”( sounds like a video game) and “everyday sadist.” Some people believe that things like Internet trolling enable the
Antisocial types to vent, thus preventing them from doing even more destructive things. I do not subscribe to this. After growing up arou d Toxic Narcissists, I believe the behavior just feeds on itself. Like most people I often wonder what Internet trolls do offline. Some people believe that most of them aren’t acting independently but part of organized disinformation campaigns, and usually paid.
I know where there is one right now. I used to see him on TV all the time, but he’s laying low recently for some reason.
Not always. I’ve been a notoriously bad judge of character all my life. A d as they mention, one of the characteristics is charm.
Think about some of the big cult leaders—Rajneesh, Jim Jones. Hersh Applewhite, Elizabeth Claire Prophet. I consider most or all of them to be at best narcissists, at worst, sociopaths and psychopaths. They didnt get where they were by making people uneasy. Quite the contrary.
I scored 4, but I didn't fill in the age or sexual "identity" question ("identity", LOL).
I think we reward the personality of a psychopath in today’s “values.” Americans vote for slickest and slyest - not the smartest and best. There is nothing exceptionally intelligent in OB. But he was a slick showman who lied with the best.
Some of them are professionally called abortionists.
