Seriously, the cans say chunk light but it's all mush.
Sorry Charlie!
Albacore is best packed in oil, water pack ruins it for me.
Bumblebee sells yellowfin tuna packed in olive oil, available from Amazon and it is delicious. I’m no expert but did work on albacore boats in the early 70’s and have been neck deep in those critters. Fresh is best, of course.
Whiny Little Bobby: Mom, the tuna doesn’t taste as good as it used to.
Narrator: Millions of Americans feel the same way little Bobby does, ever since companies came out with dolphin-free tuna.
Bobby: The tuna doesn’t taste as good as it used to.
Narrator: Luckily, not every company shamelessly bends over and drops their pants for each whiny special interest group that comes along and complains about something. When animal rights activists pressured Weemsco into eliminating the dolphin in our tuna, we politely said ‘pfft. Get a life!’ Weemsco Tuna has the great dolphin flavor you grew up with. In fact, it’s chock full of dolphin because now there’s more for us to use. Weemsco Tuna tastes great because it’s a secret blend of tuna, dolphin, shark, medical waste, and dead sea turtles who choked on deflated helium balloons.
Bobby: The tuna doesn’t taste as good as it used to.
Mother: But this is Weemsco Tuna, honey. Try it!
Bobby: Mmmmmm!
Costco Kirkland, we think it’s the best in this picky household.
Italian tuna in olive oil. I won’t touch anything else. More money, but the quality is so much better and the taste is excellent
FR never ever disappoints!
The radiation from Fukushima breaks down the flesh...
Lets get this in breaking news,
Sandwiches again!!!
Third that!
I'll take this over the flavorless stuff any day.
We always drain the water off into a bowl which we give our kitty. Seems to satisfy her and we get to eat our tuna or salmon in peace.
Bumble Bee. And if you want tuna that has some flavor look for the veg oil; they still use Soybean oil.
Great tuna. We head off the werekitty bit by putting some of the tuna juice in a bowl for them. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT get in the way of 16 pound tuna-seeking Maine Coon kittehs.
So the Tuna is dissolving too, I had heard only the star fish were.
Yes that’s the stuff, the BumbleBee albacore in the gold can is fantastic.
I can't pronounce the name (in Cyrillic) but don't worry. You don't have to search hard find it. You see, in Russia, the tuna eats *you*!
The problem with chunk white and albacore, in addition to being more expensive, is its overpowering fishy smell. It stinks! Can’t get it off your hands, and you better brush your teeth after eating it!
