>>After more than 30 years of hosting late night television, David Letterman announced that he will retire in 2015 during a taping of The Late Show on Thursday afternoon, <<
That is pretty exact. Do they know which Thursday afternoon in 2015 this will happen?

Is Letterman losing to Fallon?
If so, it's gotta hurt his ego.
Maybe Conan can replace Letterman. Both of them try to be at least a bit edgier than Jay or Jimmy.
Or maybe Jimmy Kimmel and ABC can go back to trying to compete with Nightline hosted by Ronan Farrow.

Ha Ha Ha and Ho Ho Ho. Dropping watermelons and old TV sets off the rooftop. What a comic genius he was. So funny. Man, those were clever stunts. Watermelon then a TV. A TV and then a watermelon. Ha Ha Ha Dave. You jerk.

Before late night he was on in the mornings. Didn’t last because of the audience. One year because he was on contract with NBC for a late night show that didn’t happen.
Same schtick back then. He hasn’t changed his show in 35 years.

Adam Carolla is very conservative and very funny.
(He and Jimmy Kimmel co-hosted The Man Show for a few years about a decade ago)
