Needless to say, some people are going to disagree with the premise of the author as to who "the Greatest" are. :)
I remember seeing only 21 of these films. :(
Some titles were truncated:
1 - Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
14 - Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf
16 - Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
77 - All The King's Men

Wow. Only 9 actresses and 8 films for me. And I’m counting the ones I’ve seen any part of. Of course, most of these movies are “all talk no action” films. You want to keep my interest there needs to be some gunplay or blow up a car once in a while.

Rochelle, Rochelle. The story of a young girl’s strange, erotic journey from Milan to Minsk.
Though I liked the stage version with Bette Midler better.

I saw 31. Lots of great actresses but most of them I didn’t see in whatever movie was listed for them.
To: EveningStar
Never watched any of the 5 you listed............

I did not so much disagree with the choice of actresses as what they considered their best movies.
When I say “American Beauty” I knew the list was garbage.

Wow, I need a life. I’ve seen 72 of them.
To: EveningStar
I’ve seen at least 86 of the 100.

I agree with a lot of the actresses being superb...
But more than half of the ones (that I have seen that particular movie), I disagree that the movies picked were their best roles.
To: EveningStar
Many of these movies are not the actress’s best. Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner is not even close to Hepburn’s best.

What a coincidence...just watched "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" last night and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" about two weeks ago. First time I'd seen either of them -- a fine pair of films.
In GWCTD, Beah Richards gave a superb performance as Mrs. Prentice. Also really enjoyed the innocent Katharine Houghton as Joey Drayton. Those orange pants sure showed off her great 22 year old figure, too.

I’ve seen 14 of the movies listed, but I’ve seen movies with most all of these actresses. I cannot say that the cited films are necessarily the actresses’ best work.

I’ve seen 64 of them, but the performances were certainly not all that great...I mean Demi Moore in GI Jane? Really? But not Marissa Tomei in Vinny? Go figure.
These lists are way too subjective. Best Actress? Calculate the total, inflation adjusted box office. Money talks.

They picked Daryl Hannah and Drew Barrymore, over Helen Hayes and Judi Dench. Give me a break.

Gee, how did I know Sharon "look at my crotch" Stone would be in this list. And Julia Roberts -- for anything.
Two of the most overrated, overmarketed actresses (and I use that term loosely) that ever existed.
