(CNN) -- After 208 episodes, countless "legendarys!" and any number of pineapple incidents, slaps and slutty pumpkins, "How I Met Your Mother" comes to an end on Monday night. One thing we're absolutely certain will happen is that Ted Mosby will finally meet the future mother of his children and the nine-year-long story that future Ted has been telling the kids will be over.

This is a great show, glad it lasted as long as it did.

“Never watched a single episode. “
was just thinking the same thing, so I have no idea if its an extremist marxist propaganda show, or just a typical Hollywood Marxist propaganda show.

Then I guess the question: “Haaaaaaaaaaave you met Ted?” would be answered by you with a simple, “No.”

I tried to watch it a couple of times, but couldn’t force myself beyond a couple of minutes.

Great show. Never missed an episode, but I don’t watch repeats.
Alyson Hannigan was on TV 15 out of the past 17 years. 1997 to 2003 with Buffy & 2005 to 2014 HIMYM. i will miss her.

I have seen a lot of episodes over the years and surprisingly there has never been a single one that I can remember that had any political message.
Maybe thats why its been so sucessful.

Brilliant, joyful, heartrending by turns. And a great ending, entirely unlike where we thought we were going. And they filmed the last scene with the two teens YEARS AGO to have it ready...so they knew where they were going, something that VERY few series today actually plan.

There was actually a pretty funny political subplot this season: sanctimonious white Liberal wussy-man Marshall being stuck on a cross-country drive with a VERY self-assured, outspoken female Black conservative. In a Hummer H2.
I have to admit that the finale left me cold and pretty disappointed. Particularly since it invalidated a really significant chunk of the last two seasons.

Always had something better to do when it was on - I got the most organized sock drawer in history.

No, the show won't win accolades from Christians, but it's just a good sitcom with a healthy dose of humor. It didn't push an agenda.
I'm not a defender of Hollywood by any means, but I do enjoy some good TV or movies.

That’s my feeling too — he’s “out and proud” but my suspension of disbelief doesn’t stretch to watching gay guys playing hetero. I’d have felt the same way about Rock Hudson and Van Johnson if I’d known they were gay.
