"The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away."
Would such a snide, insensitive comment be allowed in a story about anything other than a Christian event? Would they make that comment about the Washington mudslide or a downed airplane?

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Nice, Joe, really nice. Perhaps someone can show up at your wife's or child's funeral and crack jokes too.

Why do people think that baptisms in a sea/ocean would be more scriptural than a baptismal or even a stream or river? I don’t recall John the Baptist or Christ baptizing ANYONE in the Sea of Galilee or the Med.

My younger daughter did a beach baptism and the waves were really big that day. Thankfully there were no issues with anyone getting swept out to sea.

A s tragedy on what should be a joyful occasion. Buck up it could be worse, you could have worked with this line I tried to take him out. He was heavy and then another big wave came.
