A Montana woman was sentenced Thursday to more than 30 years in prison for killing her husband of eight days by pushing him from a cliff in Glacier National Park after they argued over her regrets about the marriage.
U.S. District Judge Donald Molloy said he saw no remorse from Jordan Graham, 22, in the killing of Cody Johnson, 25. He sentenced her to 30 years and five months in prison and ordered her to pay $16,910 in restitution.
Graham will be subject to five years of court supervision upon her release. There is no possibility of parole in the federal system, meaning shes likely to serve the full term.
A tearful Graham took the stand during the sentencing hearing in Missoula, apologizing to her family and Johnsons.

Who does the restitution go to? Cemetery? The courts?
It’s a crime that murderers are not executed any more. Except in TX.
“...and you’ve won this brand new Washer and Dryer!”
Note to self: if wife tells me she wants to discuss concerns about the marriage when we are next to a treacherous slope of a ravine hundreds of feet up, tell her she is 100% right and apologize until we get back to the car.
To quote Ron White, “we have an express lane”.
Real restitution would be for her to get back on the ledge and let one of her late husband’s family members to give her a push.
“Mens Rea” with alcohol or drugs, “Mens Rea” without.
I suppose it’s time for some folks to quit acting crazy.
Maybe the guy should have stopped, looked around, seen himself hundreds of feet above a ravine and said, honey, you’ve decided to discuss the state of our sorry marriage, NOW??
Note to self: a good wife is one who also understands that every minute of a marriage is akin to standing at the top of a treacherous ravine.
Be careful. I think I’ve won one argument in the last thirty years, maybe. And remember they find a way, sooner or later, to get even. Is simply safer to say, ‘yes, I was wrong.’
Beside that, she’ll probably be out of prison in less han 10 years
welll she does have a rather pronounced ‘widow’s peak’
Hmmmm...she must have watched “The Closer.” There was an episode like that in 2011...where the husband and wife argued and she pushed him off a cliff and tried to claim it was an accident.
Agreed
Bet you she goes Full Lesbo.
Ha!
She looks a bit butch.
Seems the more difficult the topic, the worse the timing...
