Athens-Clarke County police said they arrested a man on Tuesday for assaulting a teen who he caught showering with his stepdaughter. Police charged Clinton Antonio Ward, 49, with battery, and first- and third-degree cruelty to children for the assault at the mans home on Creekstone Drive. Wards arrest came after his own 911 call to report that teens were in his apartment, according to police. When officers arrived they spoke with Wards 16-year-old stepdaughter, who said Ward was not home when she and her boyfriend, also 16, went into the shower, police said.

He didn’t get shot!
I think the actions of the father were prudent in this matter.
I miss Al Bundy.
Father of the year.
If I were on the jury, I’d certainly be voting not guilty.
Thanks, wife and I had a good laugh over that one!
My favorite show!
The stepdad looks like a big dude - not someone to mess with.
Both 16-year-olds should’ve known better. The stepdad may have roughed up the 16yo boy, but apparently not very seriously.
NOT GUILTY..
Probably us. I’m sure Child Protective Services is working overtime to break this family up. It’s what they do.
Should have kicked the young man’s ass out the door naked. Let the boy explain that to mom.
Back in the day, it would have been expected of the dad to do this.
Kids will be kids...and dads will be dads.
Ballistic, hey, if the guy escaped with just an ass whipping, he should consider himself lucky to be alive.
On the other hand, if the Dad was a mooselimb, he'd have stoned his daughter to death.
I wonder if the boy will be charged with immoral behavior with a minor?

Nope. They were both 16, which (if this is Athens Georgia) is the age of consent.
Age of consent with parental approval, or age of consent? I many states there is a difference.
If it’s 16, no parent, then the dad can be in trouble since he was not protecting his daughter from a crime.
The boy is not his responsibility, the stepdaughter is.
I was once preemptively excused from jury duty by the defense lawyer.
It was a date rape case. The lawyer asked a few questions and learned that I was a former Marine, Vietnam veteran and father of three teenaged girls.
I just do not understand why he wanted me off the jury?
If one of the participants is over sixteen but under nineteen, and no more than four years older than the other participant, the crime drops from a felony to a misdemeanor.
