Miley Cyrus was too busy creating terrible music to pay attention to a Make-A-Wish kid.
Miley Hodge, a seven-year-old girl with a fatal form of osteosarcoma, wanted to meet Justin Bieber more than anything in the world.
But Bieber was clearly busy either getting arrested or smoking weed or both, so Hodge had to settle for her second favorite celebrity, Miley Cyrus.
According to Radar Online, the Hodge family flew to Los Angeles, Calif. to meet Cyrus and were made to wait a week before finally meeting her at a recording studio.
The family went to Los Angeles and were put off for nearly a week before they met [Cyrus], a Hodge family friend said. They finally met at the recording studio and from what I understand, Cyrus was more interested in what she was doing in the studio than paying attention to the little girl.
However, Miley Hodges father Bert told Radar that his daughter was grateful to have met Cyrus and that she met one of her idols, period.
She doesnt have much time left, another family friend said. She is an amazing girl. She is always smiling and wants to make sure everyone else is OK. When she hasnt been in the hospital, shes gone back to visit other patients who are there. Now, were hoping to make her dream of meeting Justin Bieber come true.
If one of my children’s dying wishes were to meet such a low life example of human debris(I’m being charitable here), in as nice of a way as I could, I’d tell them to “try again”.
DAMN if I was celebrity I would make time for this kid poor kid
Lot of judgment on this thread.
I don’t want to defend her but she met a sick girl when she was in MSP last month. The write-ups can be slanted by the media if they hold grudges.
Take what you read w/ a grain of salt.
I was savaged here recently because I was derisive of the whole “Batkid” event and concept.
What is the moral difference between that, and this?
Make-a-wish needs to re-examine its methods and communications with parents and churches.
How/why does a 7 year old know of these 2 clowns to begin with?
Randy Bachman....still rockin after all these years.
If one of my children were dying I would want efforts and money to go to medical research and to doctors that never give up. I would not worry that they might die without seeing Troy Donahue or Disneyland.
Looks like a cross between Kenny Rogers and Robert Reich.
Re runs, books, older movies. My friend's 7 yr old also likes Hannah Montana and Bieber. I explained to her that Hannah Montana/Miley on tv/in movies, is a nice pretend person, but that the person who pretended to be her is- in real Iife-NOT a nice person, not someone she wants to be like. Gave similar explanation for Bieber.
At least Cyrus bothered to say something to the little cancer patient that made her happy. But it is unconscionable that she made the little girl and her parents go out of their way to see her.
Then again-can't expect much from Cyrus-the mindless, self absorbed, twit.
You'd think the millennial generation would be embarrassed by this no-class idiot.
What is with the sense of entitlement that Make A Wish parents and kids have?
Another compassionate Hollyweird liberal.
Interesting that the little girls name is Miley. How old are the parents.
Justin Bieber and then Miley Cyrus?
Those are your top two choices????
Well she will soon be spending eternity with our Lord, maybe she wanted to view representatives of the other side first, so as to appreciate her future all the more.
Hmmm.
I was thinking along the lines of a cross between Jimmy Carter and Eric Clapton, with a beard.
Maybe she’ll meet my hero Ron Reagan in Heaven.
From the title I expected to read that Cyrus agreed to meet the child but failed to do so. Instead, it seems that the meeting did occur and the child was happy about it. Well done, Miley Cyrus. I don’t understand the point of the article.
