The only place I know I have arthritis is in my knees. The right one was operated on some years ago to clean out arthritic crap. Neither knee is great, cushion between the bones mostly gone, and that's why I have a permanent handicap hanger in my car. Walking long distances isn't going to happen. So, if there is arthritis somewhere else, it isn't hurting me.

I know a person who got a hospital bed so she could raise it to have her upper body somewhat up instead of flat in the bed. A wedge pillow also raises you. That pillow is very firm to hold up the upper body. It does not depress like a regular pillow does when you are on it.

A wedge is what I use now. I haven’t been able to breathe well on my back for a long time. So I usually just sleep on one side or the other.

That became a problem, because my hips starting hurting too much and kept me from going to sleep, as well as some problems with stairs.

So now I sleep on the wedge, which helps with breathing when I am on my back. I can also roll onto my sides without putting am much pressure on the hips. So the wedge has helped me a lot.
