Wha wha wha waaaaaaaaaa.........If this was my kid, she'd be Sh*t out of luck. It's interesting how much she wanted to come home when the Bank of Mom & Dad were going to cut her off. She's a future liberal, let her fail.

Fine, but there would be some RULES, some tough love, and a mighty short leash involved if she were my kid.

And that idiot lawyer who took this case to court, he should be disbarred for being too stupid to practice law.

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned in any posts about this: If she is such a good student - I believe scholarships were mentioned - hasn’t she kissed any scholarships good-bye just for putting her NAME out there in this lawsuit? What college is going to offer anything to a spoiled brat like this? Consequences!

I think we should cut this family some slack and let them work out their problems.

So her friend’s daddy (who happens to be a lawyer) didn’t hit the jackpot and the welcome mat got a little smaller?

You’re not wrong, I understand the sentiment but this is an 18 year old were talking about. Maybe, just maybe the combination of public shame and judges rebuke had some effect. In the end it’s still their kid and they still want to hope for the best. And the reality is she’s an attractive girl and there are plenty of guys out there willing to take advantage.

I’d probably give her a chance but on a very, very short leash.

Also how much you want to bet that the reality show contract is already in the works?

She went to a public school. The parents seem to understand the real world. The kid has been brainwashed. i’m not a parent but i would advise to all: don’t send your kid to a public school. Except for math my school in 1970 was crap. i can’t imagine what it is now.

I would not offer housing to any child who took such public delight in reducing both parents to tears. The girl has a cruel, vicious heart, and her viper persona will strike again. Just wait till one of her little sisters accidently wears Rachael sweater to school and rips a sleeve. I’ve seen how sisters can get about borrowed clothes or shoes. You’d think they just drove off on her Harley motorcycle.

Her and the boyfriend are going to set the parents up for something else. This is like inviting a devil backstabber in the home.

I blame the idiot father of the boyfriend who was the lawyer who put this nonsense in her head in the first place.....

Not that she is blameless, but certainly she was dumb enough to believe their was a legal solution to an parenting problem...

Don’t worry. She’ll make a couple bucks when Dr. Phil lines her up for a sob-story feature. We’re not done seeing this brat.

Usually in families, if there is an issue with the daughter....look to the dad. If there is an issue with the male child, look to the mom.
In the "family dynamic" you can get to the point where the mother and daughter vie for the dad's attention if the dad isn't there for the daughter as much as she might need. Some kids are mature enough to not expect 24 hour a day attention from mom or dad but if you throw in a strong outside influence (the attorney neighbor, cult leader, etc.)you have easy prey for that strong outside influence.
I suspect these parents didn't get along very well and I also suspect the dad is a very weak character in this play. A "strong father figure" would have reigned this girl in a long time ago!
