The point is, the left really is anti-American tradition. The left really does not believe in the all American dream. Its not that they dont even believe it; they advocate against it. Thats what this Cadillac hullabaloo illustrates and is all about. You know, we think were all in this together. We might have our disagreements, Democrats and Republicans, but we all want the same things. We dont anymore.
There is not a singular American culture thats oriented around growth and prosperity and individual achievement and success. Thats not what the Democrat Partys about anymore. Their power base is not rooted in people like that. Their power base is rooted in the failures and victims of our society. And they are trying to create even more of them.
The enemy, as far as the Democrat Party and the American left are is concerned, the enemy are the successful, the enemy is those who are achieved. The enemy is the philosophy that undergirds the American dream. Its called consumerism and capitalism and its supposedly void of any real meaning and no values. Its just about who has more stuff and who has more money and whos richer and all that, and they are full-fledged resentful of that.

FAVORITE line: We went to the moon and left the keys in the car....because we're going BACK.
Calm down libs. GM isn’t suddenly turning—perish the thought—patriotic or jingoistic, they just want to sell more Cadillacs.
I like the ad but making libs mad? I didn’t see any evidence for that except being told they are.
I’m with ya. I just watched the ad. Cadillac isn’t my style of car but that was one kick-a** ad. The ad agency, crew and cast knocked that one out of the park.
Bookmarked for later viewing, but I would still never buy a car from Government Motors.
When are liberals not outraged?
Pray America wakes up
FAVORITE line: We went to the moon and left the keys in the car....because we're going BACK.
Don't get sucked in - Cadillac is owned by Government Motors.
“Liberals outraged (hard to believe) about Cadillac ad”
Like my drill instructor used to say; “waaaa F’n waaaa,” I hope they enjoy their outrage.
The ad exemplifies why there are 5 star hotels and first class seating on planes, mansions, and yes, very nice cars.
Because at the end of the day people want to think that if they work hard and put in the hours and effort that there is a reward to it in the end — And we do work hard so that we don’t have to be equal in poverty — The left loves to talk about “choice,” well poverty is a choice and people make choices their entire life each and every time they come to fork in the road — And some choices lead to prosperity and wealth and other choices lead to poverty — That...that is the beauty of America and the American dream and not to live like they do in Shitholeastan.
The ad also exemplifies that drive and ambition should have its rewards — If it didn’t, everyone would just sit on the couch and eat Twinkies in the their parents basement playing x-box smoking pot and drinking beer late into their 30s (otherwise known as male democrats).
Those that can, DO and those that can’t vote democrat, because it’s easier than working.
That may be true but it's not the obama slacker constituency who the ad has to appeal to.
GM (correctly) found that it has a problem with conservative buyers. The commercial was a sly attempt to address that.
Ha! THOSE guys won't EVER have anything that requires HARD WORK and SACRIFICE.
If the gov. doesn't hand it to them gratis, they'll never have anything!
I loved when Winn Duffy referred to his "giant baby head."
I kinda like the ad, but I wish they’d used a CTS instead of the ELR. The former (especially in V trim) is a Cadillac I wouldn’t mind owning.
ping...
I felt like I was being pandered to. I mean did you catch the Les Paul mention?
600 Channels spewing liberal clap trap 24x7 including gays making out on TV, gays raising kids, effeminate guys in every single TV ad, and they are whining about 1 commercial that sort of goes against it. Amazing.
