I didn’t know that about Elvis, but the same thing happened to the rock band Journey. The first three albums were incredible, and then they turned into pop rock. Incredible pop rock, to be sure, but nothing like the hard rock brilliance of the first three albums. Of course, the pop rock made them go multiple platinum, but that’s just a commentary on democracy, not musical excellence.

the title appears to be a major boffo box office extravaganza type hit.. it do!
I trust that the regime will give me a break on this one....
I remember emailing algore a message to stand down during one of those recounts during the 2000 election,....back when janet waco was attorney general
One afternoon a week later...as Im sitting at my desk there were a succession of BACKFIRES...right outside my front window.....

Yes, those mid-70s Journey albums (pre-Steve Perry) are truly lost treasures. Just about everybody under 50 lumps Journey in with all the other 80s “power ballad” bands due to songs like “Open Arms” and “Lights” - not to mention one of the most overplayed songs of all time “Don’t Stop Believing”. I do have a soft spot for that later music as well but those early Journey albums (i.e. “Look Into The Future”) represent their artistic peak.
