If you don’t like watching the Oscars, then don’t watch.
I love it and I watch it every year. I have watched it wherever I am, on flickering little hotel TVs, and homesick in Europe where every speech was quickly dubbed over my beloved American twang into French or German. Even if it’s bad I still watch. I love the whole scene of it.
And remember, if there is an FR thread, that makes snarking possible. We take the liberal losers and conservative it up by our snarking!
If you won’t watch liberals, don’t watch any sporting events either. Or any TV shows. And get off that internet. You’d best wash your hands after using Microsoft or apple, my friend! With rubbing alcohol!

Will the Hollywood Reds mourn the passing of Shirley Temple Black?
They had better.
Also there was a campaign to recognize the death of a crew member this year, maybe get the ball rolling for such sad losses. She was the girl who held up the scene clapper, and she was hit by an oncoming train somewhere on location. Tragic. Let’s see if that makes the show.

I think GRAVITY is a brilliant movie that should win on merit, but the Oscar will go to the slave movie because Black Trumps Just About Everything. However, Gay Trumps Black so the two actors playing the guys with Aids in DALLAS BUYERS CLUB will win those categories. The bony Somali chick will win her category, and Cate Blanchett’s hyper-emoting in that bad Woody Allen movie will win too.

You forgot that Bette Midler is supposed to sing. As if they needed to give me another reason not to watch.

The pull of the earths’s axis cannot overpower Hollywoods love of a good slave or aids movie.

I hope the viewership drops a lot this eve. That would be nice, but there are far too many idol-worshipping sheeple out there.

The pull of the earthss axis cannot overpower Hollywoods love of a good slave or aids movie. And yet Hollywood overlooked Team America at Oscar time.

It was depressing but Bruce Dern was outstanding in his performance.
I wanted that old guy to get his money so bad.

I haven't watched the Academy Awards in years, decades I guess. When they started nominating Art House movies no one had seen and became such a totally insiders party of Liberal Hypocrite's etc., I just gave up. No class , no nothing. I guess the last time I watched a good bit of one was when Johnny Carson was hosting.
I will say this I hope Bruce Dern wins, he has had an amazing career and probably should have won for “Coming Home” many years ago. Another Icon from my youth, Good Luck Bruce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The two-broadcast is at that link. Someone found it on an old betamax tape they bought at a flea market.
