savevid.com is a site that will download youtube videos to your computer. you still need to be able to put that video onto your dvd and burn it, but I assume you can do that.
You’re looking for “ripping” software.
Lots on android apps do that.
To start with, use Firefox browser and get the “Download Helper” addon for it. You can use the addon to download (and convert Youtube) videos with just a click.
Or to convert videos into a format that you can burn to DVD, you could use Any Video Converter.

(Your DVD player must also be able to record video)
To burn the video on to a DVD, use a free program like Img Burn.

That’s about it.
I use replay video to screen capture the video, I used to download using realplayer download but it wants to save everything to a cloud now and it is too obtuse for me to use, not very user friendly
I use real player.
It’s free, and very simple to use.
Download youtube videos to the ‘realplayer’ file.
Then copy to whatever device you like.
bump for later
Get free youtube downloader and rip as mpeg.
It will download YouTube videos...no account needed. It will also convert the download on the fly to an MP3 file (I just used it to get all 13 parts of The Silmarillion on audio book) or .avi, .mp4, .flv, .mov, .wmv or .wma.
The .wmv and .avi can easily be burned to a DVD with or without authoring software.
Give it a shot. It is nice software.
Here is a help site for all things video.

Using Firefox I use the following:
Flash and Video Download

After installing you right click on the toolbar and click on Customize. A window opens and you drag the icon to the toolbar either at the top or the bottom of your screen. When a video starts you can click on the file you want and save it.
DVDFab http://www.dvdfab.com has several programs that are easy to use. Some cost money but worth it for the ease of use.
