The Battle of Britain
Flying Leathernecks
Flying Tigers
The RIGHT STUFF
The Bridges of Toko Ri

Tora Tora Tora”
Add “Flight of the Phoenix” to your list and I’d swear we were separated at birth.
He plays Dooley! Love this movie. Men lost in the wilds of Canada.
“Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines”
It was the movie that got me interested in aviation at a young age.
“Get off my plane!”
Harrison Ford as the President of the United States, Air Force One...
They go uppidy up up, they go downity down...
The engine starting scene is one of my all time faves.
What a joke. Not one vote for the best airplane movie ever, “Flight of the Phoenix” (1966, with Jimmy Stewart, not the vomitous remake with Dennis Quaid)
I had heart surgery in 2005 and the only movie, running constanly it seemed on the AMC/Naval Hospital TV was “Island in the Sky”. Almost a good thing I was there a week cause the drugs kept knocking me out before I could finish it.
I discovered this one only two years ago and now have it in my collection. Great movie!
My husband showed me this about a month ago - on a dark and snowy night. Really good.
Not listed, but I liked Flyboys (2006)
"Dive Bomber" - pretty hokey plot and acting, but the great scenes with those beautiful prewar USN paint schemes make up for it.
I know it was all CGI, but check out “Deep Blue World” if you want to see some good Battle of Britain action.
Good one!
Do you like gladiator movies?
What? Three guys named Mike didn’t make it?
"Where do we get such men?"
One of my glider instructors was the chielf pilot for the second one...:^)
