There’s one of them hipster vegans here at work.
I asked him if he wanted a bite of my burger. He is not the kind of ‘in-your-face’ vegan like some. He knows I know the answer to that question but he plays along anyway.
(But I could see the look in his eyes - he wanted to answer ‘yes. yes I do.’)
It is a horrible existance. It sucks. WHY? Why do that? Why do something you hate and then pretend to like it to be trendy and hipster? Admit it. You hate it. It sucks!
Most vegans do it simply because its hipster to do it. Its in style and they make every attempt to make sure EVERYONE knows it.
I never bring up in casual conversation that I eat meat. Most vegans tell you twenty five times in the first 5 seconds of knowing them. And you are supposed to say something like, “oh thats cool”. They will not stop until you respond positively and tell them how upworldly trendy they are.
The Old saying = How can you tell a person is a vegan? You don’t have to. He will tell you. ...and your friends, and your friends’ friends, and anyone in earshot over and over and over again.
If he's a red blooded male and not a queer, he's doing it because he thinks it will get him laid. Yes, it does all boil down to that - at least for the young.
True for grownups. But you CAN tell when a child is vegan. They have gray circles under their eyes, are thin and wan, and as very young children, are listless. When you are in a health food store or some other such vegan-rich environment and see such sickly sad looking kids, ask and you will find that I am correct. They're vegans.
Adults who force or encourage children to become vegans, are vain monsters who need their asses kicked.
