COINTELPRO Techniques for dilution, misdirection and control of a internet forum.
There are several techniques for the control and manipulation of a internet forum no matter what, or who is on it. We will go over each technique and demonstrate that only a minimal number of operatives can be used to eventually and effectively gain a control of a 'uncontrolled forum.'

They’ve been here for a long time.
It’s very apparent during election time. And it slows down during the summer..if that tells you anything.
It’s easier to spot them here than on a liberal forum. If we go there and act all radical, to them it’s normal. If they come here and act all radical, they are tossed.
What they don’t realize is.......
Nah, not going to tell them.
Just look for the jerk off who wants to blow stuff up. Like you can always tell who is the spy in a Militia. He is the one with all the automatic weapons and explosives.
Good Morning, Y’all. How are things in Langley today?
Point them out.
Well, you and me, of course.
But perhaps I have said too much.
This guide to internet forum disruption appears to be written in a Freshman English class.
These same things are done all the time on every forum. The motivations for it are amusement, stupidity. I can see folks from DU coming here, or vice versus and trying to be an instigator.
I bet that the two weeks running up to an election all kinds of trolls are everywhere.
I especially remember the run up to the nomination of Romney. Trolls, trolls, trolls, on all sides of the issue. Pro-Mormon trolls, anti-Mormon trolls.
Mostly all the upsurge of Mormon religious articles. I think those were written and “defended” by anti Romney types because they were articles exploring the weird bowels of LDS.
But at the end of the day, I think that free speech wins in the end. Romney bless his little heart was run over by Obama. But Romney loss because he kept the ground game a family business. Also he lost his nerve on Benghazi.
>> Well, you and me, of course.
Y’all are obvious, but you’re useful for seeding disinformation, so don’t sweat it. :-)
Thangs in Langley be jus’ fine, sir.
(A little double-feint to the racist side, to keep y’all guessing . . . .)
If I was Nixon fan, I might simply declare that I am not a troll, but since O is my man, let me just say that, IMHO, if you like your forum, you can keep your forum.
Well first of all they usually post links to external blog sites, or so I’ve heard.
About a decade ago, one of my last jobs before retirement was being assigned to an RTCA (Radio Technical Committee for Aeronautics) group tasked with investigating the threat of emerging computer technologies to commercial aircraft systems (every passenger bringing a cellphone, computer, Gameboy, etc., and then using it inflight). The two biggest players on the “team” were Intel (who at the time was pushing UWB - ultra wideband technology), and Boeing.
Dissidents were identified day one, and efforts began to marginalize their inputs. Let’s just say that the Cloward-Piven strategy is alive and well.

Yeah, and while we’re here, did you want to discuss that salary adjustment you requested?
You're not showing on my Active Agent list. Did you complete your E-QIP re-certification and receive your new SmartCard?
Better watch out for Semmens. His satirical threads are too close to the truth.
Do we really want to do this on our Target Forum?
I'll drop by your office before c.o.b. today.
“Mostly all the upsurge of Mormon religious articles. I think those were written and defended by anti Romney types because they were articles exploring the weird bowels of LDS.”
The same few FReepers have been posting those same types of articles, for years before Romney was nominated, election time or no. The only thing that increased when Romney got nominated was people accusing them of being “anti-Romney” by doing the same thing they have always done.
