Very sweet. We all have the power to lift people up......with small gestures of kindness like this. God smiles on you always, when you do.
As Victor Hugo stated: To love another person is to see the face of God.

Uplifting.
It’s nice to get a positive report on teenagers for a change, instead of hearing about how they beat up and robbed an elderly person.

Pure love for her fellow humans she shows. Expects nothing in return except maybe an occasional wave back. Certainly an example for all of us.

That is so sweet! We used to have an older gentleman that would wave to us on the way to school every morning. But I always got the impression he didn't really like me, maybe because I road my bike in his driveway or was really loud, some such nonsense because he lived just down the road. My parents had known him forever, and he waved to everyone.
Fast forward and when he was 100 years old and in a nursing home he would occasionally call and talk to my dad. My dad said he'd always ask about me and how I was doing, that I was the nicest kid, and he was proud of what I'd done with my life.My brother and sisters were baffled. They all got waves, as did every other kid. I even asked my dad if he was getting senile and he said no, he knew it was me. Why did I get the grumpy look then?! I remember he didn't have a lot of money but paid to have his porch enclosed and heated so he could still wave in the winter. He lived so frugally, my mom would sometimes cook for him. When he was 102 his brother died leaving him several million dollars. Poor guy never got to use any of it, and when he passed away the grand kids swept in and had it spent within a year.

It turned a little misty here as I watched a Great Lady and a lot of Outstanding Kids.

I miss the good ole days when I’d get dirty looks and middle fingers from the elderly on the way to school... and that just from my grandmother.
Memories...
