What three movie characters of all time do you hate the most? They may be the the evilist most merciless villian like the emperor in Gladiator, or just a smarmy self-righteous protagonist or whatever you want.
No kidding. That "style" is beyond pretentious. Person B starts answering before person A is finished talking, with a letter-perfect response. They are oh so clever, aren't they?
Yes they are. Which is why that POS show on HBO, ‘Newsroom’, is such a phony piece of garbage. So let me get this straight Sorkin: You’re going to develop a TV show about a newsroom but cover actual news events that transpired approximately 9-12 months prior to the show so you can develop the “perfect” dialogue to go along with these stories to support your ideology. I guess hindsight truly is 20/20. Ridiculous.
So how come he has pages of liberal talking points memorized, so he can spew them out at a moment's notice?
I don't have HBO.
Does he EVER deliver "republican" talking points like a machine gun?
At least Alec Baldwin played a "conservative" on 30 Rock who wasn't a total doofus, and obviously hating his own character.
Not just because of the subject matter, but when Redford speaks, he's just spewing nonsense.
"Now WHO talks like that in real life? Nobody. Not liberal or conservative. It's stupid, and terrible writing."
Joan Allen in The Contender has the same damn problem.
Nobody speaks off the cuff like that in a congressional hearing.
I love ‘The Shawshank Redemption’. It’s a great movie and Bob Gunton excelled as the evil Warden Norton.
Gunton is a wonderful and thoughtful man. I had sent him a message on facebook in which I wished him a happy birthday and he replied less than a month later. You should have seen my face!
