the Aaron Sorkin-based characters who think talking fast in a sarcastic and belittling manner in a cringing attempt to seem intelligent. Especially when dealing with complex plot lines.

No kidding. That "style" is beyond pretentious. Person B starts answering before person A is finished talking, with a letter-perfect response. They are oh so clever, aren't they?

Yes they are. Which is why that POS show on HBO, ‘Newsroom’, is such a phony piece of garbage. So let me get this straight Sorkin: You’re going to develop a TV show about a newsroom but cover actual news events that transpired approximately 9-12 months prior to the show so you can develop the “perfect” dialogue to go along with these stories to support your ideology. I guess hindsight truly is 20/20. Ridiculous.
