SUMTER, SC Sumter Police were called to a local restaurant after receiving reports of a man who tried to pay his tab with a trillion dollar bill.
The incident happened around 1 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Applebees on Broad Street in Sumter.
Police say Michael Williams, 53, of Sumter tried to pay his bill with a debit card, but it was declined. He then offered to pay with a trillion dollar bill.
Police were called, and Williams was arrested on an unrelated charge of contempt of magistrates court.
The Sumter Police Department continues to investigate.
FYI for all.
If you ever print this out, NEVER print it the correct size.
Printing it official size will get you an official visit.
Good theory.
Libtards thought it was brilliant when Barry Obama considered doing this.
“With a trillion dollars, you would think he would go to a better place than Applebees.”
The WhiteHut would have had no problem and like McDonalds you get CHANGE back!
Lots and lots of change!
Sounds like Michael got his hands on some Obummer stimulus money.
So, a buddy of mine said his grandson swallowed a nickel and his son took the kid to the Emergency room. The Doctor said they wanted to keep an eye on him for a while but he should be OK. My buddy said they would let him know if there was any change.
Look like they took that mug shot at the barber shop.
I thought Monty burns got tricked out of it by Fidel Castro.
I think there’s a sign by the register that says they don’t accept anything larger than a Billion Dollar bill.
It is very doubtful that the man knows how much is a trillion ...
Should have a pic of the Obamadork.
He has just that amount of understanding about real money.
I wasn’t expecting this headline for a few more years, and I wasn’t expecting it to be a headline then.
