Sen. Mitch McConnell 'looks and fights like a TURTLE' says Texas U.S. Senate candidate, blasting his opponent for working with the minority leader
Dwayne Stovall wants Texans to know that U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell 'looks and fights like a turtle,' and he hopes that image will bleed over to Republican Sen. John Cornyn the man whose job he wants. 'We Texans don't need a Beltway turtle telling us how to fight,' Stovall says in his newest video ad.
The slight is related to what Stovall sees as a lack of action from Cornyn, the state's senior senator and the Senate Minority Whip, to block elements of the Affordable Care Act.
Ted Cruz, the junior senator, won national attention in September for monopolizing the Senate floor for 21 hours in a quasi-filibuster aimed at forcing changes to the Obamacare law as a condition of avoiding a government shutdown.
'This past summer,' Stovall said in his first radio ad, 'one of our senators fought hard for us to keep Washington from ruining our health care system, and one of them didn't fight for us at all.'
'I'm worried, and I'm mad about that,' the tea party darling continued.
Stovall will compete against Cornyn and a handful of other Senate hopefuls, including Congressman Steve Stockman, in a March 4 Republican primary.

We are strong, and getting stronger.
Today is the start of our Primary Election in TEXAS.
Please encourage to vote all yalls, (FYI: that is the Official Plural of yall), TEXAS FRiends with this:
________________
IMHO, the recent following two quotes by Conservative Commentator Eric Erickson highlight why Conservative TEXANS should make their votes count in this Primary Election:
1.) - - - As all of us know, we may not live in Texas, but Texas affects us and we all probably secretly or not so secretly want to live there. - - -
2. ) - - - - Its imperative that Texas have strong conservative leadership because as Texas goes, so goes America. - - -

They wouldn’t come out of their shell?
Don’t we usually leave ad hominem attacks to the libs? It is a cheap and undignified way to compete.
Yeah, a Post Turtle.
While not nearly in the league of the Ultimate Post Turtle now posing as the Current Occupant squatting in the White Hut, in the city of Washington, DC, once the capital of that nation formerly known as “the United States of America”, Senator Mitch would have his own difficulties in explaining just how he got elevated to his current position. Seniority, I suppose, played a large part, but so did schmoozing among the like-minded RINOs. There have been remarkably few real conservatives who have stood up within the Republicans’ ranks in recent years, and Mitch was probably the least offensive of the “moderate wing”.
I can't agree.
A turtle will bite your finger right off.
Mitch ain't gonna do a damn thing. Just look at him. What a little sissy.
Maybe you do, I don’t. I will attack those who deserve attacking.
“Dont we usually leave ad hominem attacks to the libs? It is a cheap and undignified way to compete.”
100% agree.
I initially supported Stockman, but now I'm not so sure. Stovall’s looking strong.
Mitch stays in his shell and only comes out when the democrats need him.
I’m thinking Stovall too. The more I hear, the better I like him.
Having new blood in the Senate, and NOT already with “legislative” experience is likely better. We don’t want more of the same.
So Stockman having already been in the House is not necessarily a good thing. Regardless of how effective or “strange” he was.
Stovall sounds like he has some common sense AND the spirit to fight. I love him tarring Cornyn with the turtle brush! It is too true.
Cornyn - as part of the GOP leadership - IS part of the problem.
Too bad Ted Cruz doesn’t have a twin brother, though! :-)
Wikipedia removed the Stovall article a few hours after it was created again on Feb. 16 — he is “not-notable”, Wikipedia says.
Agree.
And Dwayne Stovall looks like, well, let’s just say his neck over his collar looks like a foreskin. But what a person looks like has no bearing on whether or not I will vote for a person.
What bothers me about this character is that his dog Major seems to act more mature than Stovall.
When I read the article and listened to the comments, I was reminded of a slogan I heard years ago: Putting the A$S in Texa$s.
No fan of McConnell in these times especially.
But I’m reminded of La Tortuga scene in Breaking Bad. Watch what you wish for!
The correct spelling is turd-le. LOL.
