Ditto!!!
My choice for long term weapon is a 12 ga. pump. I would saw off
a little barrel and stock. Why the 12 ga shotgun? Because
the ammo is among the most plentiful of the the tools that
can get the job done. I’d remove the plug to hold more shells.
Maybe a .38. would be a back-up if a friend were in a precarious
position and a shotgun would do more harm than good. A machete
would also be a must along w/a shorter hunting knife.
If you are thinking of a pistol grip type shotgun, be aware the recoil with standard velocity 00 buckshot may sting your hands a bit. Otherwise, good choice.
No pistol grip. Also I would assume that 00 shot would
account for only a small portion of 12 ga ammo. I am
thinking lots of 4s, 6s, and even dove loads in the area
where I live.
He ran out of marshmallows......

Some things to consider:
12G ammo is bulky, heavy and loud. Think about how much you can carry. Also they way more powerful than necessary.
Even a 12g with an extended mag tube only carries 8-9 rounds and are slow to reload. Some are mag fed and are faster to reload.
Shotguns are not good for longer than 30 yards except with slugs.
Yeah those Katanas are expensive. At least the real ones are. The typical ones in the pawn shop for $50 are junk from a metal standpoint. Quite likely to break the first time you actually use it.
A good club can’t be underestimated either.
Cold Steel has them for $800.
You get what you pay for, and you don’t want your defense against Walkers to break at a critical moment!
1. Because 12ga shells are relatively plentiful, I wouldn’t feel the
need to carry large quantities. When dove hunting I pack 3-4
boxes w/ more in my pick-up. That is 75-100 shells on me max
at a time.
2. Regarding the subject at hand I believe my targets of necessity
would mostly be w/in 30 yds.
3. Pheasant hunting since the age of seven, I can reload a pump
remarkably fast.
Yeah, but if Carol had not come across her just in time, we’d be reporting a different story! Lizzy was about to do her in.
I missed the second word, the first one is Dead
Well 10,000 for a sword is out of my budget right now.
That's what I was wondering. Some red shirt from the prison who died to set off Beth's meltdown, maybe?
That’s right, yours is a machete....forgot that.
Well, I think katana practice would be just the thing for a great full-body workout. I would seriously consider it if I didn’t think I’d cut myself into chunks.
I wondered about that, lol. Michonne keeps that thing wicked sharp somehow.
Can I just say that I hope the fist-bumping lesbian gets eaten as soon as possible?
When Lizzie had her hand over Judith’s mouth, she went into some kind of weird zone....she didn’t even hear her sister calling her.
Rat killer, bunny killer....I bet that little psycho murdered Karen and David.

You should use whatever you are most comfortable with. Personally I would rather lug around a ruger 10/22 (~ 5 pounds) with some 30 round magazines and a brick of 500 rounds of ammo (about the same weight as a box or two of 12 G rounds).
I thought Lizzie was going to end her crying. Period.
