SAN DIEGO – A man verbally attacked a Girl Scout who was selling cookies at a grocery store in Clairemont, the victim and mother said Wednesday.
Cindy Baldan, 13, has been a member of the Girl Scouts since she was in kindergarten, but what she said happened to her Tuesday afternoon at Kiel’s grocery store scared her.
“I said, ‘Would you like to buy cookies?’ He said, ‘No, I don’t want to buy them,’” said Baldan, adding the man turned on her and began to yell.
“He said ‘She looks like a hooker!’” said Cindy’s mother, Melissa Baldan.
The man entered the store and returned later to continue yelling at the teen.
“We were both crying,” said Baldan’s mother. “I was trying to console her and random strangers that saw it were trying to comfort my daughter.”
Baldan said it shattered her sense of confidence and sense of safety fearing someone else will yell at her.
“I was visibly shaken,” said Melissa Baldan. “He wasn’t crazy, he was just mean.”
Fox 5 attempted to contact the man at his home, but there was no answer.

I do not believe this story. How would they know where the alleged yeller lives? Does he live right next door to the grocery store so that the crybaby mother would be able to tell the “reporter” where to find the big meanie?

Most of the country is like this now, I’m convinced of it. Four of the last 6 Presidential elections have resulted in a corrupt liberal winning. Most of the Congress is dominated by liberals. The morality and civility in our American culture is lost.
That’s a really good question, and one I thought of, as well. Mom is definitely an attention whore.
It may be someone they know.
Or, if she did make it up, she is claiming it is someone they know.
I imagine the charge could be the generic “disorderly conduct” that cops love so much.

A few years back I was at the grocery store (okay Wal-Mart), while I was checking out my 7 year old son walked to the front of the store and starting pushing buttons on the ATM machine, at the same time a 60 something old man and his wife walked by and told my son that the ATM machine was not a toy. I didn’t pay much attention at first, but he kept on looking back at my son with a grumpy old look on his face. That’s when my Papa Bear response came out and I made sure the man saw me. The old man then had a scared look on his face. For an old man he was walking really fast to the first exit.
Not that it means anything, but the mom has also tried to get on a reality show, so is not afraid of putting herself out there.
Still, if the guy yelled at the girl, it was uncalled for.
If he said that to my daughter, he would have come home with a bag full of an ass-whoopin’. From her.

My son is a scout. The only bandwagon our troop seems to be on is the one where a bunch of adults volunteer a lot of their time so they can teach boys how to grow into hard working, honest men.
But hey, that’s just my experience.
You know how to stop jerks like this guy? You continue to hit him with a baseball bat until he quits moving.
My son was selling something in front of a store as part of a scouting activity when he was verbally assaulted by a senile old man. That might also be what happened in this case. This is not news.
I’m sorry if my post hit too close to home. Feel free to punch me in effigy if it makes you feel like a MAN.
