The report by independent investigator Ted Wells on the state of the Miami Dolphins organization was released on Friday morning after months of research, and the results are clear offensive guard Richie Incognito did lead a systemic campaign of bullying and ridicule of not only offensive tackle Jonathan Martin, but also at least one of Incognitos and Martins teammates, and at least one team employee.
Wells, a partner in the law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, was hired by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in early November to exhaustively investigate the Dolphins franchise from top to bottom and root out any organizational tumors that may exist. Wells may have run into more than he bargained for.

The Feds are coming down on the NFL, using the leverage of their antitrust exemption, in order to use the NFL to advance their social agenda.
That’s why the NFL has gone so PC in recent years.
Two words: Perfect Season.
Four words: over forty years ago.
And when was the last perfect season by your favorite NFL team? Never.
I'll take that any day of the week, thanks.
Perfect season. Don Shula.
Just wait til next year.
The 2012 female harassment story, and Philbin’s response, are a bit more complex than that.
I read the Sun-Sentinel Dolphin section every day.
Stephen Ross, the team owner, is the only person who can overrule Philbin on a decision like that.
If Philbin really wanted to cut Incognito in 2012, Ross has never made a public statement about it that I know about.
And Jeff Ireland, the GM at the time, as far as I know has never made a public statement about that.
I know the Offensive Line coach and the Offensive Coordinator both said Philbin had not discussed that with them.
Most Important - Incognito started 31 of 32 games for the Dolphins in 2010-2011, at both OG positions and Center, and he made the Pro Bowl in 2012.
So, I think Philbin may have had an immediate emotional reaction to the 2012 incident, but I doubt that emotion lasted very long.
It was a good thing that Shula inherited Csonka. He also inherited Griese, but Shula was excellent at getting the best out of a QB. If the Dolphins were still like that I wouldn’t say that they are currently dysfunctional and have been for years. As it is, my original statement stands.
Shula almost inherited Steve Spurrier, which might have changed NFL history a little bit.
As I recall, Shula was instrumental in bringing player personnel director Bobby Beathard to Miami in 1972.
Beathard had some truly amazing Drafts over his career.
Beathard was OK, but Shula came into a great organization that was willing to do what it took to win. In addition to Griese and Csonka, the Dolphins had Larry Little, Nick Buoniconti, and Paul Warfield. That’s five future hall of famers he had to work with.
Yes, Spurrier would have done a lot better in Miami than San Francisco.
It is unfortunate that a hostile bullying environments is allowed to exist on a professional football squad. Only simple-minded insecure people engage in bullying. It should be stamped out and not tolerated by mature adults.
I’m only of medium built but I could walk into a male figure-skating locker room and instantly establish myself as the alpha male.
...watch out though if the locker next to yours is Johnny Weir’s...
As a pro, he threw 40 TD’s and 60 INT’s.
But, I'm a life long UFlorida fan, so all of us still love the guy as a college player and college coach.
I looked up Beathard in Wiki.
Yikes - say goodbye to my memory!
I thought he was with the Dolphins for years and drafted all the really excellent players Miami had in the later 70’s and early 80’s.
Nope - just there in ‘72-'73.
He drafted about 34 players (17 Rounds in those years!).
Only Don Strock (5th Round) had a measurable impact on the team.
And, in spite of some great games, Strock was just too inconsistent to be a top tier NFL QB.
