Live Discussion of the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Sochi Olympics
Pleasantly pleased to see three countries (Great Britain, Denmark and Japan) have a curler as their flag bearer :)
He’s about as orthodox as I am. Which is to say, not at all.
I just admire the long life of my old Zenith.
Wow...
Yet ANOTHER jab at Putin, completely inappropriate for the venue.
They queers at NBC must have taken Putin turning Obama into a fool quite seriously, for all this hate.
Firebird Suite!!!!
HA, I CALLED IT!!!!

I think Vladislav Tretiak will light the torch. Probably the most legendary hockey player for the Soviet Union.

NBC has once again done a terrific job embarrassing themselves.
will they break into Siberian Khatru now?? (Yes fans understand)....
No kidding.
Much better ending than Vancouver’s, that’s for sure, what a confusing mess that was.
Beautiful.
“NBC has once again done a terrific job embarrassing themselves.”
In China, all they could do was express gushing praise for the Communist dictator and the Communist sytem, along with worshipping and praising the “bravery” of the Messiah Obama (who had NOTHING to do with how China ran it’s Olympics).
Tonight, they have taken jabs at Putin at EVERY opportunity.
Our media and poofter Drudge are beating them up regardless
I thought it was great.
Olympics are a big deal that happen only every four years. The local resort where I live as well as Disney have better fireworks everyday.
These opening ceremony’s were LAME!
Communist China did way better than communist Russia. LOL
So did I.
Ever since NBC took over the Olympics from ABC they have been awful. Every time the bidding comes up you have to groan when NBC wins another bunch of games rights. Those lucky enough to get the Canadian coverage can’t help but notice the difference.
You gotta admit--the guy's got know-how.
