All of this constant talk of corruption, wrongdoing, markets going bad, etc. ad nauseum is ridiculous. Conservatives (i.e. Those who stand for what is right.) deserve what is happening to them and I mean every word of it.
If people who know what is right will not pull together and do something about all of this mess, then why complain about it or even talk about it? It accomplishes absolutely nothing. You're not going to convince anyone who is liberal to come his/her senses nor are you going to win converts.
Either do something active about what is going on (get 8-10 families together and go to the local school board and demand changes until your demands are met -- that's what liberals do) or shut the hell up. This would apply to any situation, not just school. If you can't get anyone to cooperate, then you have your answer...it's not going to work. I hate using movie lines to make a point because movies are not reality, but one really sticks in my mind: "If you're gonna shoot, shoot! Don't talk!"
You mean we have to actually participate in the political process to make a difference, instead of just bellyaching about it?

Yeah, all those tea party activists are just sitting on their butts complaining. Come you lazy bums, do something!
If I may further expound, many will say (including some here on FR), “Why, I can’t go to the county commission/school board/city council meeting! Dancing with the Stars (or whaterver) is on TV tonight!”
As long as the Left controls the mainstream media, nothing is going to cause this nation to reverse course. The low information voters are easy targets.
Been there, done that, got the bloody tee shirt. For over fifteen years I worked with a small cadre of conservatives, and even some liberals to try to get people elected to office who were not beholden to the Democratic party machine in the city of York, PA.
The machine makes the rules, knows the rules, enforces them, and doesn’t play by them. The money to support the machine comes from old money business owners who make money doing business with the city, mostly wasting taxpayer money on schemes that enrich them and their friends, while doing nothing to solve any of the problems of the city, such as rampant violent crime, outrageous taxes, and failing schools. It’s the same money laundering scheme that government employee unions use.
I hate to say this, but I’m not sure the electoral process hasn’t been rigged by both parties to prevent any meaningful change from happening.
I'm not sure that "both parties" is correct but it's *absolutely* true that *one* party has done so.It's the party that, among other things, fights tooth and nail against voter ID.
So its time to just give up and slit our wrists?
As a local Tea Party organizer, and Republican committee person-—— I can assure you that can put your doubts away, you are correct.
Both parties. We had as much opposition from the “Republican party, which is also owned by those old money aristocrats.
And don’t skip slots for minor races on your ballot. Its especially important in the case of educational positions.
We shouldn’t forget the RNC, they make policy for the party, are mostly liberal and get a pass from voters.
It's everybody else' fault!
Dave; have you met Mr. Gleason? There’s your answer.
“So its time to just give up and slit our wrists?”
People make their own choices. My conclusions as to what is inevitable are scaring me.
“Dave; have you met Mr. Gleason? Theres your answer.”
Jackie?
