what if he got out while you brought groceries in, could happen, and he chased a squirrel or mice in to someones back yard who then shot the cat

Would you be OK with that

He doesn't get out. I'm a responsible pet owner.

Besides, realistically, here in the real world, catz that are and have been indoor catz all of their life have NO interest in going outside where all the loud dangerous stuff is.

But if he did get out and get killed, it would be my fault, for not caring enough to protect him. And I wouldn't fault anyone for protecting their property.

And it's generally liberals that whine when their irresponsibility causes bad things to happen.

Conservatives accept responsibility, and put blame where it belongs.
