A terrified mother claims she watched in horror as her demon-possessed 9-year-old son walked backwards up a wall and ceiling. Her claims would be easy to dismiss if a child services case worker and a nurse werent reportedly there to witness it all.
Latoya Ammons claims all three of her children showed signs of being possessed, including evil smiles and strangely deep voices, the Indianapolis Star reports. The mother says she also witnessed her 12-year-old daughter levitating in their Gary, Ind., home.
Strangely enough, the scary-sounding incident is outlined in official documents. Further, Gary police Capt. Charles Austin told the Star that he is a believer after making several visits to the home and interviewing witnesses. He first thought the family was making stories up as part of a get-rich-quick scheme.
Ammons home was exorcized by a catholic priest in a number of ceremonies that were reportedly authorized by the Diocese of Gary. The story apparently became so believable that officers with the police department said they were too scared to stay at the house and some city officials wouldnt even step foot on the property.

And a 2004 article where he was refusing to submit to a background check requested either by the church or by the bishop. Wasn't clear on who was requesting it.
So the priest appears to be a legitimate priest, though his fight against a background check does raise questions.
the spiritual war - oldest war around
I went to Gary once and decided there were two places in the world I did not want to live...both of them Gary.
Saw/heard something like this about 35 years ago. Never want to see it again.
I’m not buying it.
It isn't true. I have seen it twice. Baptist context. Worked on first try. No ritual whatsoever. Just a straightforward three-way conversation where the believer pulls rank on the nasty critter and Jesus does all the heavy lifting. No recidivism either. Seriously. This is available to all believers. Bring at least a mustard seed's worth of faith.
Of course it hasn’t. You can’t form a reasoned opinion with your head in the sand, and I generally check on stories that challenge my beliefs. I have yet to see evidence of a “possession” that cannot be explained without resort to the supernatural, but the Blaze story thread piqued my interest. I guess I gave them more credit than I should have.
They tried to use both audio and video, as well as photography - all of it malfunctioned.
Dear unbelievers and naysayers:
Whether or not you choose to accept it, evil exists. What’s more, refusing to acknowledge the existence of evil will not protect you from it.
May the Lord bless and keep you.
I’m sure if I saw a kid walking backwards up the wall my very first reaction would be, “Holy cow! I need to videotape that!”
Not, “Oh, sh!t... whatever you do, don’t take your eyes off the crazy possessed kid. What can I get my hands on as a weapon...”
You have that one right sister!
Publicity stunt to drum up interest in a new product or show.
My guess.
But it all “sells” as do those who report and write books, hold seminars etc...and the money flows.... People who want to ‘believe’ will do so regardless of proving otherwise what is truth.
We see through our brains where the imagination can and does create what one might want to “believe”. Add any sensation or props of any kind and you can build a story...and make money or gain a moment in the limelight. Many do just that.
It’s real. But demons rarely attack that strongly unless they are invited in. Look for a Quija Board (sp) or a VooDoo ritual. Yes, I’ve seen them at work and I don’t ever want to go down that road again. On the other hand as the end times heat up who knows how bad it will get. The dark side will fight back when they know that the Lord is coming back to this world of the shadow of death. Be prepared.
Evil generally is deceptive and seductive often attractive....a counterfeit of what is real and or an impostor. Many times offering just enough truth to lure one in as in a trap.
These stories, as this one, have been written for years and always draw attention to those who are looking for supernatural encounters.
Evil exists, yes, but it generally doesn't reveal itself as something evil. That's why people get suckered into to the sensual and feely type of encounters. It plays on their desires to see the unseen world they imagine it to be.
But they do not make movies about them!
