I cancelled my DishTV service then changed my mind. Called DISH and was told I have to wait 60 days. Seems they would want a customer to sign back up.
Now, see? You got the DTs and you’ve been handed a buffer; take advantage of that.
I had withdrawal when we decided to go streaming but was so pissed at DirecTv I got over it in a few weeks (don’t get me going on Dish...please don’t re-sign with those evil bastards... I have them on tape, a MANAGER, telling me that they’ll “charge whatever they want” without regard to packages/deals).
I wish I’d been prevented from buying smokes for 60 days the first time I quit; might have made a difference.
I hope many others follow suit (cancel satellite/cable); it needs to happen to cut the heads off the lib media.
I like watching foreign shows, like from Korea.
dramafever.com especially
Dish is the worst run cable company. Be glad you are rid of them.
I used to do Dish, then switched to Direct TV a while back.
Recently I contemplated a switch back to Dish to take advantage of the new subscriber stuff, but honestly unless you are doing the minimum Dish package, you get more with Direct TV for the money. You might want to check them out. They also have better customer support in my experience.
Direct TV is great. Go with them.
Nope. Not trying to get anything at a discount. I just want the plan I had before.
And why would they not try their best to get an old customer back instead of saying, “Dont sign with us. Stay with our competitor.”
His new CEO is no less an insane liberal idiot.
Seemed like a reasonable good deal. We got the incentives, they got to keep our money interest free and got to collect small transaction fees from the merchant everytime the card got used.
All went well until last month when they decided to charge a $1 per month for a fee unless you jumped through more hoops, direct deposit, larger balances, etc.
Bottom line is that they spent $200 in incentives to earn our business and collected $3 in fees before we cancelled all the cards.
You've got to wonder who thinks up this sh*t.

Is cable tv on your street?
I get my internet, TV and phone from my cable company and the service is great. I limit the service to as best as possible eliminate obnoxious entities who back Dhimmicratic causes either by propaganda or donations. So I have no premium channels like HBO which I can’t stomach.
Internet is very fast and I worked out a deal with my cell provider(poor signal) and they gave me a free mini cell tower that’s works off the Internet.
Good luck
They’re doing you a favor...we’ve been 6 years without. We save large amounts of money previously spent inviting trash into our home. We use the netflix mail service to watch only what we choose. We’ll never go back...but everybody is different. Good luck.
Totally agree. Switched originally so as to get MLB, but have found it is the best all round.
Some folks in our area are moving to FIOS to take advantage of the combining - TV; internet and telephone.
The price would have to be extremely good to take me away from Direct.

How long you have to wait after cancelling the service to sign up for the new account under spouse name. This is after the 2 year commitment is done.
60 days after a disconnection is when you’re eligible to try to qualify for new customer promotions.

Give it a couple of months and you can get the $600 worth of free equipment and programming. I did the exact same thing and the started sending me emails and direct mailings begging me to come back.
Quit whining .... just go down to Walmart, Best Buy, etc. and watch TV for free. Wear clean clothes, cover up any oozing sores, don’t drool or twitch, don’t chew and spit without your spit cup or can, etc. and you should have an excellent free viewing experience.
Unless you live in the boonies and satellite is the only reasonable means of getting internet...........
I used to work for DISH and the reason they do this is so that you can be counted as a new customer.
Are you calling the DISH 800# directly or calling a DISH office? Try a different number to call them.
roku works for me - no time warner - no dish - 80 bucks for the controller (one time)- 8 bucks for netflix
