I cancelled my DishTV service then changed my mind. Called DISH and was told I have to wait 60 days. Seems they would want a customer to sign back up.
If you have internet service wouldn’t Netflix make more sense at 9.99 mo or whatever it is now? My son uses computer to put it on big tv screen. You can still get TV shows and other stuff....I know people who like it better than cable or paying high prices to Dish.
That is odd.
Not weird business.
Charlie Ergen is a big Obama supporter.
Be glad you’re free!
I signed with Comcast and decided I didnt like it as much as DISH.
But DISH says I have to wait 60 days before I can get DISH again.
Not sure of the logic. After 60 days with the new carrier (Comcast), I might get used to it and decide I dont really need to change back to DISH.
I haven't owned a TV or had a cable connection or the dish since 1985.
I can heartily recommend that to anyone.
Does Direct TV have any sign up special? Sometimes, its beneficial to jump from one provider to another. Depending on costs or options.
You will probably qualify for new member discounts at the end of your wait period. It stinks that loyal customers subsidize the new members for Verizon/DirecTV/Cable, etc. for a couple of years.
I watch TV on my laptop sometimes for free, from some websites with wireless internet.
They must have a 60 day wait limit on reapplying to renew so they can sign you up for another two year contract.
You have to negotiate ruthlessly.
Ever since our neighborhood got availability of ATT U-Verse three yrs ago, I’ve not paid a price increase to BrightHouse cable.
Buy a good book?
If my mother didn’t live with me I would’ve cancelled Direct TV a couple of years ago.
Your headline is wrong - they are taking you back.
Are you trying to get some sort of new customer sign-up bonus?
Don’t bother...
I gave up cable TV and have not missed it
There is SO MUCH to watch on youtube it is incredible. I learned how to fix my concrete floor in the garage, repair my septic pipes, fix my motircycle and so much more... try it! its much better to learn new stuff. Gardenign, landscapign, everything... and that’s just youtube!
If I want to watch a movie there are a ton of good sites like netflix and many free ones
And if you get a cheep $10 antenna you would be surprised how many digital stations there are for free now. Pay for an expenives powered antenna and you will probably get 10 good ones at least!
Probably some sort of regulatory requirement imposed by the government.
“I haven’t owned a TV or had a cable connection or the dish since 1985.”
Goodness, you have me beat! I threw out the TV during the OJ trail. Haven’t watched any since.
Are there any channels/shows you just gotta have?/
