Since the shooter first went to Zumiez, then to the food court, where the 2 Zumiez employees were sitting, I will assume this was a targeted and personal killing.

Yesterday I think they said the whole event happened in and around the Zumiez store. The food court was right below, so when shots started being fired the people in the food court probably thought it was happening in the food court, even though it was upstairs. It would’ve been LOUD.
Most people are surprised how very loud gunshots are especially when indoors. In mall with so many hard surfaces it would be even louder.

It was either a personal grudge attack or he converted to Islam in my opinion.

Hearing rumors of shooting on I-81...near Hagerstown...no confirmation..just a text from a friend.
The Daily Mail clearly describes him as a jealous ex-boyfriend. So this was a domestic dispute, just carried out in public.
In Maryland...also. western maryland.
We do not know that he walked up there “with a loaded shotgun”.
Consider this. Break down shotgun into two parts. Place in gym bag. Put ammunition in gym bag. Carry gym bag into mall. Assemble shotgun and load (under 1 minute).
