Yep, live life and love it. I enjoy life as much as I can, though I may seem boring and old fashioned, I get more pleasure from small things in everyday life than busy bee young people could ever understand.

“Besides being a talented chef, scientist, and survivalist, you also play piano and banjo?”

And, I believe, speaks more languages than just English. I spotted him as highly intelligent by reading his posts when I first met him on this forum. His talents and smarts are why you want him by your side in an emergency.

AT 7 pm, it is 40 here, supposed to be 25 tonight so we have the same number for tonight. Get to take cover off plants tomorrow and keep them off for several days as nights will be warm compared to what we have had.

About two months ago, I ordered that booklet from
Bountiful Gardens you have, “Food for the Future Now:, A Survival Garden Plan”. I finally contacted them because it didn’t come and it was being rewritten as an update and it wasn’t finished. It cost $16+. I got it today. How do these chapters compare with yours? The chapters are:

1. “Sustainable Home Garden Design with the Grow Biointensive Method”.

2. “Growing All Your Calories/Growing All Your Nutrition - Can I Live on This?” (this is the chapter I’m most interested in)

3. “1600 Calorie Survival Garden Diet Design”

4. “Considering Yields”

5. “Growing for Seed and Saving Seed”

6. “Garden Plan”

7. “About the Foods We Have Chosen”

8. “Putting Useful Plants in Your Yard”

9. “What You Need to Get Started”

10. “Run Outside and Start a Garden Now”

11. “Resources”

I am not using my normal seed sprouting incubator that I have on my homepage.

I had never looked on your FR homepage. Nifty seed stearter, aka, mater bator, and those tomato plants looked fantastic. Mine are never that bushy.

Enjoyed the story of your rodeo adventure with Mr. Tiller.

I grew it from seed. The seeds are almost microscopic but sprout quickly. After they take hold and start growing, you can just break off a portion and stick it into a different pot for another plant. I’ve found that they grow well in pots outside in a shady area. They are very cold tender though.

The story of Mr Tiller in 75% why I am going with no-till this year. My wife has tilled it the last two years because, being soft soil, it tills easy. She made 3 laps over it in about ten minutes. But cranking it is tough for both of us, we just cant pull hard enough on it to crank. It will crank on one or two pulls if you are not old and decrepit. It’s only been run about 5 or 6 times from new.

The materbator was a hurried together deal. Was supposed to refurbish the fastener methods to be more durable. Not happened yet: I really do need to fashion a 2.0 version. It worked flawlessly, all I have to do is manually water and feed w/fish emulsion. I had my temp sensor in there with the babies monitoring they’re temp.

He’s also probably good to have around during non-emergencies. And. He makes beer.

I don’t do well with pull rope starters either. My neighbor somehow put a switch and electric starter on a push mower for me. I don’t know if your tiller can be revised to accomodate a kind of electric starter.

“He’s also probably good to have around during non-emergencies. And. He makes beer.”

He is too set in his ways to be around civilized people very long. And, never go there in warm weather, remember he doesn’t like pants.

It is true a neighbor’s house was burning and he took off naked across the street with a fire extinguisher. That was warm weather. You have been warned.

My clock says ten till 12 midnight and it’s 33.9 in my garden and you have 25 - that’s a lot of difference in our two temps. However, the sun was out today so the big, tall brick walls around my outside gathered that sun and now it’s giving it up and that is warming the enclosed garden. That is the only explanation I have.

4:30 and it’s 21 at the Conroe airport. I suspected it would be colder than 25. And it aint over yet. At least it’s dry.

It’s 64 in my seed starter, that’s warmer than the house by 3*

It's true, though. I got a warning from the police, and a thank you from the fire department.

Good Morning johnny. No winds yet, and it’s still a bit
cool. It’s supposed to warm up. Will be checking the community garden later this a.m.
My garage plants are doing well. I repot and repot until
I can put them in my raised gardens and the community gardens.

It's 33F here with 15mph winds out of the south. It's chilly out there. It's supposed to warm up to 62F today, so we'll see.

I'll be going with daughter to her community garden to help her decide what to do with her plot. I wish they were closer, they could garden here.
