Get Ready To See Michelle Obama's Face Plastered All Over Your Local Subway Sandwich Shop

The first lady was expected to announce Thursday that the Subway sandwich chain will spend $41 million over three years to encourage finicky young eaters to eat more food that comes out of the ground or grows on trees. The announcement was being made at a Subway shop near the White House.

Subway will only offer a kids’ menu that mirrors federal standards for school lunches. That includes offering apples on the side and low-fat or nonfat plain milk or water as a default beverage.

Because we don't hear or see enough Obama in the news or on TV. Thank goodness for Togos!

When I go out to eat, it aint for sandwiches. So, I rarely frequent a Subway. If they are teaming up with her, this means I will ever enter a Subway.

Conceptually, I don’t see anything wrong with encouraging children (and everyone else for that matter) to eat more fruits and vegetables. But that doesn’t mean Federal law regulating anyone’s diet.

Interesting. In another thread I was mentioning that the only restaurant chain my wife and I will patronize is Subway. But if I see Michelle’s mug on their wall I will pass.

Ugh. We don’t often buy Subway but now we will never buy Subway. Government is getting its propaganda tentacles into too many areas.

Yet one more reason to avoid Subway. As if I needed one. Hey Mooch, has Subway agreed to reduce the size of the bread loaf they use on their sandwiches? Last time I looked, their sandwiches are all bread and no meat, and certainly no fresh lettuce and tomatoes.

Damn! I DID enjoy a Subway Sandwich every once in awhile. Not only does MooChelle give me an aversion to sex, she will now make me have to take omneprazole twice a day instead of just once. I won't be able to fantasize ever again of relations with a woman because that mug will come to mind thereby killing the moment!

I refuse to go to the newest Subway here because they have a big sign inside touting the “green-ness” of the new building and how Subway is helping cure Global Warming.
