If you don’t go to work, you get fired.

Either there was poor communication about this, or that place is run by d*cks.
However, this guy should not have just stayed home. It is a job, and he is expected to be there.
In the future, I hope the football-loving meatheads there just skip the stupid team pride thing and just run a damn business with regular uniforms so there isnt any screw-ups like this.

You can wear anything you like. As long as it is approved first.

Dumb and Dumber.
Dumb - The jersey policy.
Dumber - Idiot father telling his kid to stay home and go AWOL and calling the owner. Don't show up, you're fired.

Why was he wearing a Broncos jersey? Because his boss told employees that they could wear jerseys of their favorite teams to work since it was the day of the AFC and NFC Championship Games. If the only jerseys that the boss wanted to be were of the Seahawks, why didn't he say so?

Something is not quite right with this story —

He wasn’t fired for wearing the jersey. He was fired for leaving and not going back. Who are these loser parents who insert themselves into their kids lives. If the stupid father hadn’t stuck his nose in, the kid would still be working.

If he knew that wearing it would cause problem, he was wrong. However, if a co worker of his had a Jacksonville Jags (does anyone?) wore one and didn’t told tn go home, he should get his job back.
