Now it all makes sense. This week I heard Glenn Beck on his radio show, talking about his pro-gay stance. I could never figure out why Glenn Beck and his organization, his Mike Opelka, and his Donelly of the 9`12-ers, had been cold to me, in some cases downright mean. Its the gay thing!! So many divisions in the conservative movement!
He said Donelly ran a gay parade! No wonder why she never returned my call. I publicly said there should not be homosexual themes on primetime TV shows like Glee where innocent children are watching and thus being indoctrinated into anti-Biblical ideas and lifestyles.
I publicly stood up for Biblical principles, thats all. I dont dislike any people group. I got a lot of flack from the media.
So, I guess Glenn Beck is now including the conservative gays, and excluding the conservative Bible-thumpers like me. Sigh.
I guess Mormons dont take the Holy Bible so seriously, because their main book is the Book of Mormon, which I suppose doesnt mention that homosexuality is an abomination to the Lord.
Interesting. I finally know why Glenn Beck never answered my TV show pitch idea! Hes Bible-phobic!!
Im just wondering, how Beck will feel when his child or grandchild comes home from kindergarten with the book, Susie has Two Daddies. This issue is not just about freedom. His child will believe homosexuality is normal and not a sin. So, I guess the Bible is a lie?
(Also, wont that mean the preaching of the Holy Bible will be considered hate speech and eventually made illegal? So
no freedom of religion? No freedom of speech?)
Post 80 also applies to Glenn Beck and Mitt Romney, they are all three, “Temple Mormons” and are allowed into the Holy temples for services and marriages, etc, and the secret ceremonies, all of which are forbidden to the average Mormon, who are forbidden to even enter those temples.
That is why the ID is issued and must be reissued annually.
No worries! Have a good night!!
I told you exactly what homosexuals have told me. Their behavior is who they are and to declare such behavior a sin is “hate”. Yet you tell me “NO, Jesus practiced love the sinner”.
I assume in your biblical understanding, if Jesus was confronted by a Homosexual pushing homosexual marriage, Jesus would “love” him and agree that homosexuals should marry despite the fact He Himself decreed such sin to be an abomination?
I submit you need to study the scriptures a bit more thoroughly. I oft-hear apologists for sinful agendas cite the Adulteress Jesus did not condemn to death, and they always stop before Jesus said “Go and SIN NO MORE”.
So would have happened to that Adulteress if she was caught in sin the next day and Jesus was not there? Did Jesus suddenly say that adultery was no longer a sin and anyone condemning the act of adultery was a ‘hater’???
You obviously do not understand spiritual warfare, and confuse loving an individual with “loving” and condoning a sinful agenda.
He is a libertarian. He is a Mormon which means the bible doesn’t mean that much to him. One should not be the least bit surprised that he is pro gay.
Their behavior is who they are
No, Jesus practiced “hate the sin, love the sinner”.
Looking back, the ones that loved me were the ones who took the hard road of disciplining me and correcting improper thinking.
If God loves us he will discipline us.
Don’t care. Don’t like Beck one way or the other.
God loves and disciplines his children...those who are His. You are correct. He loves us, but hates our sin.
But His love, the redemption of our souls, was shown initially by Jesus’ life and death.
Jesus indeed told the adultress “Go and sin no more.” But the tone of the text is one of gentility....He reserves a harsher tone for those who thought themselves to be wise....like Nicodemus. Or perhaps some of us. ;-)
Yes, I am aware of the Biblical story you mentioned. I never said we should endorse or celebrate sin.
Even a cursory review of my position on these threads would have revealed that in abundance to even a novice FREEPer.
Obviously you don’t meet that criteria, so your exegetical skills are likely as suspect.
Fin.
It’s the “burning in the bosom”. Speaking for myself as a Bible-believing Protestant, I think sola scriptura makes a far better foundation.
Cool!
Michael Savage nicknamed him the “hemorrhoid with ears.” At Beck’s best, I found him a poor man’s Savage. Haven’t listened to or watched him in a long time and not likely to in the future.
As you might remember, I’m one of the original FR weathermen.
The Bible has countless archaeological verifications.
The BoM?
None.
