"Two years after Sherlocks death, Dr. John Watson has got on with his life. But, with London under threat of a devastating terrorist attack, Sherlock is about to stage his outrageous resurrection. But if he thinks everything will be just as he left it, hes in for a very big surprise".......
.....;
Same here, I was prepared for disappointment like with Downeys movies. But It was good, I was even impressed with the opening music, and this from a big Basil Rathbone fan...
Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce were great. Unfortunately they had to work with some really cheap productions.
An interesting note. In one of the old movies, Dr. Watson sings “Loch Loman” with a girl. Sherlock tells him he is good enough to appear at the Royal Albert Hall and he is right. Bruce could really sing.
<Sherlock is one of the few shows that doesn’t insult the viewer’s intelligence.
My sister used to swear by this show and wonder why I didn’t watch it (I have cable and she doesn’t, plus I hate PBS). Anyway, I finally gave in and watched on Netflix. You are absolutely right - it is smart, quietly funny at times, and just a pleasure to watch compared to other BS on tv these days.
No, I haven’t tried an amplifier. I used to use one with the old analog channels. I might give it a try. My outside antenna is also an old one and is probably not tuned to get digital broadcasts. The Dothan, Alabama tower is actually in Florida and almost within sight.
The Panama City stations all have their towers well North of the city, obviously because there are not many viewers in the Gulf of Mexico. Back in the old days I could sometimes get Mobile, Alabama which is over a hundred miles away.
Amazon has two seasons and season three is available for pre order.
You can stream BBC One, and if you had, you’d have seen all 3 episodes already.
Yep. I’ve got 1 and 2, and mom preordered #3 for my birthday present, it just hasn’t gotten here yet :)
Then one day, my antenna fell over on its side and lo & behold...I got PBS...which is WXXI here. And there my antenna lay!!
I have something which I might just be able to use to make and antenna. I have around 20 of the old steel posts they used to and still use to hold up highway signs. They are around 12 feet high each and are very heavy and probably very strong.
Each one has a series of holes formed when they were made. I think I could use them by attaching two or more together and bolting to the side of the eaves after driving the first one into the ground. The only problem is they are really heavy.
I guess I could make a ladder out of them too. It would be extremely stout but also so heavy as to be difficult to move around.
Someplace on the web, I was able to get a schematic of where the best position would be for my antenna. Who knew a horizontal position would make a difference.
Anyways, the Sherlock that I missed, I can watch on Netflex.
Sure interesting characters and the show shoves your brain into overdrive.

Looks like an interesting project and not too hard to do.
Indeed. Very well put!
I pre-ordered Season 3 as well. I think they ship out next week! I managed to see the three episodes, but I want the DVDs so I can pause, and back up, and really study them! I love this show.
